📍I had Japanese food at Oh Taisho on St. Mark's Place.

🍜 I ordered a nabeyaki udon, udon served in a clay pot topped with tempura shrimp, chives, shiitake mushrooms and a poached egg.

💸 At $11.50 a bowl, this wasn't exactly cheap, but the quality was probably on par with many fancier establishments.

🥚 The broth was hot and exactly how an udon broth should taste, but not so hot that it overcooked the egg, which still had a runny yolk when I poked into it. The noodles were a chewy consistency and absorbed the soup flavor well.

🍄My only complaints would be the mushrooms didn't have much flavor if you didn't eat it with the soup, and that you can't split the bill using cards. Otherwise, this meal was fantastic and I would absolutely go back again if I had a group who wanted some Japanese food.
