A vision came to me...
(warning: rei going full-on delulu mode.)
I really don't know how I didn't consider roleswapping Senku and Homura prior that very moment, but now that I think about it, If you really dig deeper into that, just a li-i-ittle further than Homura being defined solely by her blind loyalty to Hyoga, it sorta makes sense. Let me cook chat
First of all, small design similarities. Yes, you heard that right.
Petrification scar is a striking lightning-style pattern? Check.
Hair is sticking upward, and is reminiscent of a plant (flower in Homura's case, leek in Senku's)? Check.
Glamorous towel for clothing? Check.
Red eyes? Yep, check.
The other thing I found interesting is that their main colors, pink and green, oh so happen to be direct opposites on the color spectrum. What a coincidence, indeed!
Beyond the designs, the similarities don't actually end there.
They share a trait of loyalty, albeit for two different reasons. Homura is loyal to a person, while Senku is loyal to the cause. Senku is also loyal to the Kingdom of Science as their leader, and to the promise to keep them safe (the 'nobody dies' extends there idc).
Both Senku and Homura are analytical and with good memory. Senku's skills hardly need introduction, while Homura was intelligent enough to memorize the names of everyone in the Ishigami Village (40+ people, mind you.), and correctly identify that exactly three are missing, and also who these three are (aka Chrome, Magma and Gen).
Their patience and determination. Homura was Tsukasa's spy, and was in her position roughly from autumn to winter, which means at least a month or two, all while being undetected. Senku's patience is not just in restoring humanity as whole, but in his grand plans waiting to be unveiled, and the various inventions that take time to complete. Never he was shown to be giving up.
The character theme — compensating the lack of strength with a skill they're really good at. Science for Senku, and gymnastics for Homura.
Also I just wanna see Homura pin Senku to the ground lmao. Anyway
Thank you for coming to my delulu TED talk.
Perseus infiltration plan, behind the scenes:
Chelsea: To ensure a flawless execution of the mission, we need a decoy. They will locate and point out Dr. Kohaku, and you will successfully assassinate her.
Luna: Natch. Any propositions?
Chelsea: Now, we can't just throw anyone under the bus, can we? Everyone got a role to fulfill.
Luna:

Luna: The nurse guy has to go.
Cheslea: Marvelous thinking, Lunnie. The nurse guy has to go.
How did we get here? (stone_swapped edition)
Aka how American Colony came to be.
Xeno — awoken from petrification three years prior the future colony inhabitants (c. 5736). He had to survive on his own, until Kingdom of Science eventually found him in y. 5742.
Dr. Chelsea — awoken on April, y. 5738. Spent a year working on collecting nitric acid and planning the base carcass of the future civilization.
Luna — revived y. 5739 by Chelsea, being the first american to be revived rather than awakening on her own. Helped Chelsea revive people, as well as work on building the main base, later known as the White Castle.
Dr. Maya — revived c. 5739-5740 to assist building the White Castle.
Brody, Joel, Leonard, Carlos and Max — revived in y. 5740, to compose the power team.
Charlotte — revived in y. 5740, as the latest addition to the crafting team. She partook in adding finishing touches to the White Castle.
Stanley — statue discovered in c. 5739, revived in y. 5741 at Charlotte's request. Initially worked as a medical professional, but later took over the role of the information team's smooth operator.
Need to draw ss Stanley like real bad, I love this boy a little too much...
Until then I just wanted to share a silly fact with y'all: (at least in my delulu head) his clothes are based on Sabrina Carpenter's stripped dress during Vogue World: Paris 2024.
Reintroducing y'all to my Dr. Stone roleswap au
Starting with cold and capable sniper woman, Luna-chan ✨✨(~~ 一⛛一)~~ (because of course we're starting with Luna, she's my favorite girlie)
This is my first sketch of her, I didn't wanna do just black bodysuit because it felt unoriginal and leaning too much into the character she's swapped with (aka Stanley) without being original, therefore a lot of star designs.
I'm still thinking of ways to make her design more interesting so feel free to leave suggestions (一3一)
Lieutenant Luna Wright
A little design of her off-duty look. I originally wanted to give her heel but later thought it'd be too much of a pain to change boots each time she has to leave. Also wanted to experiment with petrification marks (and overall expand on a concept of "what if they weren't on just face/specific body part?")
She looks a little wonky, but I love her nonetheless.
Smooth operator falls for a self-proclaimed tomb raider and things sure do happen.
I mean it's not me if XenoStan isn't canon in my aus.
