Anyway, my brain has drawn the connection between apending phrases like "like comment and subscribe" and "follow for more" to absolutely goddamn everything and the song 867-5309/Jenny. T b f, i was recently in a Pizza place bathroom where a local artist had done a lovely mural on the inside. And put their instagram handle on, literally, every bathroom wall.
Like we're drawing the conclusion here, right? Like, every aspect of human connection has been whored out to the algorithm. We could use fancy words like commodification of content, but... frankly this venue doesn't deserve it. Anyway, used to be a trashy thing to blithely put yourself out there like that.
