The day that Bulkhead joins Team Prime to go to Earth he sees Buddy’s name under the MIA list. Absolutely distraught but convinces himself that they are fine. He doesn’t have much time to mundane over the possibility that they might have gone offline. He knows they haven’t, he can feel it. He doesn’t really talk about them with anyone on the Team, not even Miko, it still hurt too much.
Time skip a little after Ultra Magnus arrives on Earth but they still have the Silo base
Ratchet gets a signature of a Cybertronian escape pod that crashed landed not too far from them. Team Prime and the Kids slightly crowd around the monitors to see a glimpse of the pod through the aerial camera. Smokescreen and Bumblebee are buzzing about a new member joining their ranks. Arcee, Ultra Magnus, and Optimus are just waiting to see who pops out of the pod. Wheeljack jokes with Bulkhead if that’s a fellow Wrecker in their judging by how wrecked the pod looks. The small celebration is interrupted as they see Decepticons start to arrive at the scene.
Optimus quickly gathers a team to get to the pod.
Ratchet opens the Groundbridge Optimus, Bulkhead, Wheeljack, Arcee, and Ultra Magnus roll out.
As soon as they reach the pod site, they are met by the bodies of Decepticons laying on the floor and 3 cons’ currently fighting the bot that was in the now destroyed pod. The team had their weapons drawn but it wasn’t necessary as the bot annihilated 2 of them in with a swipe of their shield. The last one decided to point their gun at Bulkhead.
That was the last thing they did because the new bot immediately tackled them to the ground and smashed them with their shield. The team is a bit in shock at how efficient and quick the takedown was and now realizing how big bot was, slightly covered in fresh energon basking in its glow.
They looked like a con, but why would they what to decimate their own?
Bulkhead is suddenly hit with familiarity in the frame of the newcomer and puts his weapon away and begins to approach the newcomer slowly.
“Bulk? What are you doing?”--Wheeljack
“I think I know them?” --Bulkhead
Wheeljack gives the benefit of the doubt and lowers his weapon
Optimus and Ultra Magnus are on high alert in case this goes south.
Bulkhead gets a bit closer to the bot and immediately recognizes his sibling and breaks into a run. Buddy is overwhelmed by the sight of their younger sibling. They just open their arms and let Bulkhead tackle them to the ground.
“Buddy!”--Bulkhead
“Bulkhead!”--Buddy
That’s when Wheeljack realizes who it is and quickly explains to the others who the new bot was.
“Don’t worry that’s just Buddy, they’re Bulkhead’s older sibling.”--Wheeljack
Arcee is surprised that Bulkhead even had a sibling, much less one of that stature.
Optimus is a bit at ease seeing a fellow Autobot and a friendly one.
Ultra Magnus makes his way over to greet the soldier again with Wheeljack.
Once they all get back to the base, however, everyone there is at edge.
Granted Buddy was some tall and threatening looking bot. It also didn’t help that they still had some energon on them.
“…I’m not the only one seeing the bot bigger than Magnus covered in energon right?”--Jack
“Definitely not the only one.”--Raf
“The exciting things always happen when I’m not there!”--Miko
“Don’t get any ideas Miko.”—Ratchet
Bulkhead introduces Buddy to the rest of the team and Miko is demanding to know everything about Buddy.
“Are you really Bulkhead’s older sibling? Why do you have energon on you? Did you drink the blood of your enemies? I bet you smash things ten times better than Bulkhead!”--Miko
“… Bulkhead did you adopted this one or something?”—Buddy
