Control was forcibly taken away from him about once a month, and there was nothing he could do about it. Like he just completely lost all control of himself and his body for the entire night. Most people that I know who have had control taken away from them like that for once reason or another don’t usually become big on substances.
I disagree with Remus the stoner. Remus was definitely world’s biggest control freak. Everything had to be just so, from placement of items in the dorm to how and when and where he did his homework.
