the thing is that a lot of religious people think being lgbta+ is a choice and it's really hurtful because they abuse their kid because of it and could end up sending them to things like conversion therapy and make their life a living hell because they think it's a choice and they can change their child to be who they want. no one chooses to make their entire family hate them for who they are??
i understand that, im not saying its a choice for everyone im saying it can be a choice for some, like me. its enforcing the idea that people cant choose what they want to be, implying things like dysphoria is required to be trans etc.
