#fbf To hanging with Tim Miller at @hell_city ! Tim Miller is the man who got me started in the tattoo business as a professional artist way back in 1991. Tim learned from the legendary tattoo artist Marty Holcomb @marty_holcomb who had apprenticed under the historic legend Stoney St. Clair #stoneystclair . In my wild and crazy days of my youth, I actually began getting tattooed by Tim at the age of 16 when I lied about my age which began my personal collection of professional tattoos on my body. I went on to have Tim Tattoo a lot of other amazing pieces on me over the years as he not only helped me grow my own personal Tattoo collection, he sent me on an amazing life journey with tattooing by my side! When I was only 19 years old, I left Tim’s tattoo studio to move to California to tattoo as well as traveling to various Tattoo conventions worldwide, landing in Biloxi Mississippi to do military tattooing for a while before coming back to Columbus Ohio to open my first ever tattoo studio in 1994 in Columbus, Ohio. I feel honored to have apprenticed under Tim Miller right out of high school and to be part of a historic tattoo lineage of Columbus Ohio that dates all the way back to the legendary traditional tattoo artist Stoney St. Clair. My childhood background was on a skateboard and in punk bands, so the tattoo industry was definitely something I later immersed in. It was Tim Miller and Sailor Moses who provided me with the necessary tools to become a successful tattoo artist and entrepreneur. Learning from Sailor Moses and Tim Miller gave me insight on how I wanted my shops to run, how to treat others in the industry and community and how to manage to help artists rise in their own careers. I can’t thank them enough! Heres to a nice flashback to when Tim joined us all at the Hell City Tattoo Fest! #tattoofamily #stonystclair #timmiller #martyholcomb #durbmorrison #tattoohistory #columbustattooers (at Columbus, Ohio) https://www.instagram.com/p/CLfEfy4HC2y/?igshid=jia4sff9r89s
