okay this is a warning to all hotd content creators like gifs, graphics. there’s this person in the hotd fandom that just keeps REPOSTING gifs from content creators and i am sick of it.
they did the same with my gifs a few weeks ago and when i asked them why they kept doing it they blocked me. so they know for sure that what they’re doing is WRONG!
they are still doing it, i had to log out to see it for myself.
the person in question is aemondtargaryensrider and you deserve to be called out for this. you are disrespecting content creators that have worked hours on their gifsets by reposting their work!
know that reposting other people’s work on tumblr is a big NO GO!
stop reposting! it is disrespectful!
!! THIS IS IMPORTANT !!
please it's so sad Now that we look bad because of one person's actions. Respect other people's art! Whatever your nationality, DO NOT REPOST / REPRINT / USE someone else's artworks if you don't have the said artist's permission!!
Essential to know, just because you credits them (and put a 'do not repost' warning, it's still wrong if the artist didn't consented it themselves! Supports them by retweet/reblog n likes instead!!
Did you really have the proper permission from EVERY SINGLE artist's arts you had reposted? Ik the artist in Twitter, i could easily screenshot your post and ask them myself.
I was scrolling instagram trying to properly wake myself up and saw one of my horimiya wallpapers being reposted.
I’m pretty chill when it comes to reposts, I don’t particularly mind since it makes me happy people like the crappy things that I make enough to re-share them somewhere else (although the quality might not be the same). What I do not like, however, is seeing these people reposting my stuff without credits while getting all the attention.
I want to clarify that I do not seek fame, I could care less about having 100, 1000, 10000 followers. There are people out there that like what I make enough to ask me for more and that’s all I care about. Making them happy is enough to make ME happy. Still, it’s disheartening when all I get is a few likes while these leeches get all sorts of comments and attention.
Just because these are not drawings it doesn’t mean you have the rights to do whatever you want with them. I have put a lot of effort into these, spent days after days trying my best to make something decent out of these.
It’s unfair the treatment I’m getting. Please stop reposting my edits without proper credits. That’s all I’m asking from you.
This is the last time I’m writing something like this. Next time I see my edits elsewhere without credits I’m deleting everything.
x I’m tired of going into my small fandoms and seeing REPOSTED art
x If you are going to post someone else’s fucking art put their fucking @ or links you shit. Stop taking credit for their stuff. And I don’t want to hear the “well their watermark/signature is in the picture”
x that means jack shit!
x I don’t want to reblog your repost. I want to reblog their original post >:G
If you didn’t make it, don’t post it
If you didn’t get permission, don’t post it
If you don’t know who made it, don’t post it
Google is not a source. “I found it on Google” is not a valid response. Did you make it? No? Then don’t post it.
If the artist asks you to take it down. No excuses. No argument. Take it down.
You are not a victim. You stole something without permission. If you don’t want people to be angry, then apologize and delete it the second they ask you too. They won’t be mad anymore or see you are a bad person if you just follow their wishes.
Don’t try and turn it around like the artist is the bad guy and like that gives you the right to post their stuff.
Don’t lie about it, don’t try and change the story and look for pity from others. Just delete what the artist asked you to delete.
Be a decent human being and stop taking things that don’t belong to you. Reblog the post, spread the actual artist’s post around.
If it doesn’t belong to you then don’t post it.
tumbr do your f#cking job!
