I've decided to use my platform that I have here on Tumblr to talk about the Asian hate crimes that are happening.

Asians are NOT a disease, but human beings like the rest of us. They should not have to be worried or scared to step out of their own home.

Asian people, especially old folks, get murdered, assaulted, burned on fire, or even getting acid thrown on them almost everyday. This racism toward Asians are definitely not ok.

In Atlanta, eight Asian Americans were murdered. All because they were Asian and racism. I'm not the best at writing, but please spread this around and say their names.

Before you blame Asians for something that they should not be at fault for, lets blame the white colonizers who had everything to do with these diseases that were brought to America

19. Septicemic plague (one of the three main forms of the plague)

20. Schistosomiasis (parasitic disease)

25. Taeniasis (tape worms)

26. Staphylococci

27. Streptococci

28. Mycotic diseases (fungal diseases)

I don’t know if this has been said here on Tumblr before or not, I hope others are considering this too, but Chell is Japanese Brazilian.

Now that the issue has become extremely visible, anti-Asian bigotry and violence is something we all have no excuse ignoring/turning a blind eye to anymore (if you were ignorant or reluctant before)

And considering that the main character of the Portal games and favorite of the fandom Chell is, like I said earlier, Japanese Brazilian, we must all be especially vigilant about this shit.

Watch for white washing, watch for stereotyping, watch for fetishization, etc.

Educate yourself, stand up for others, and show some respect out there.
