Prison Rape: the truth isn't funny
The truth is that all the jokes about prison rape, 1) don’t excuse it as a crime, and 2) is a miscarriage of justice to prosecute prison attacks or even contraband, but let rapists go. 3) often it’s transgender women in the wrong prison. They’re not asking to be raped! It’s wrong, morally and ethically, and extremely unconstitutional to place them there. Why don’t we prosecute those who advocate violence or even violate our civil rights personally, with lengthy prison terms? That’s fair is it not? No one is exempt from prison. The people speak the truth! Do we really want to turn a blind eye to sexual assault of any kind? If it’s us or our loved one then are we not concerned? As Americans we speak loudly, and we can voice our concerns by ground-storming ignorance to understand. It’s not a debate when it’s a matter of hate. Hate is usually met with resistance because it’s naturally conspiratorial. It goes on the offensive on groups it hates. We must not ignore those who may be going through troubles, 🏳️🌈 people struggle the most. Being told that you can’t use a bathroom is, as I’ve heard others say, like being told that I can’t use the same water fountain. But like the civil rights era of the 60’s we are told to leave certain establishments because they don’t believe in our “lifestyle” and we’re told they also won’t serve “your kind”. So with bathrooms being made an issue by Christian terrorists imagine what these maniacs are capable of with a [private] prison? They simply own and house (some are forced to actually pay rent!) people for profit. They care little about people trapped in the system but this is one where failure to get it right for lack of understanding is not a good excuse. Those prison riots you see on TV are often for good reason. Often times the abuse endured rivals the law on torture but it’s often spun as good guys vs. bad guys. Torture is part of their punishment techniques. Like an inquisition. FACT: The constitution follows the prisoner into jail because they are technically still citizens. But do we care about those who have fallen, especially if they are trying to get back up? Can we really define anyone for them? Can we honestly let such horrible things happen without consequences? Are we not looking for a better way?
