Stop Spreading Rumors
As instructed by our faculty we were told to make a Public Service Announcement (PSA) about anything related to the ongoing pandemic in mind. As it was our final project we were told to make a storyboard, prepare and shoot the video, edit them and make a complete video. The duration of the video was supposed to be 1 to 2 min. As the project started during the early days of the pandemic, we had to maintain the safety measures strictly. Although it was supposed to be a group project, keeping the safety measures in mind we had to do it individually from our home.

Concept:
As we were told to make a PSA about any issue related to the Covid-19 pandemic, I chose to work on the rumors that were emerging in the society during the early days of the pandemic. I was inspired by a real life incident. The concept was that, someone shares a rumor that if men of the family perform the public proclamation five times a day from their rooftop then that family won’t be affected by COVID-19. That person was sharing this rumor with a neighbor and that neighbor also believed it. She told her husband to do the same so that they can be safe from the deadly virus. Later, their daughter opposed the idea and told them not to pay heed to such rumors.
Although the whole concept might sound funny or stupid to some people, I actually witnessed my neighbor to practice this, just because one of their pious relative had told them to do so. Later, I shared the idea with my faculty and once he approved it, I started working on the video.
