Wildlife Killing Contests is the equivalent to animal genocide. There's no way around it. Indiscriminate mass killing tournament style where winners are awarded prizes or money. The value of life, biodiversity and important predator species is completely lacking in these killing contests. For the last few decades they have operated as a secret but now that secret is out and both the general public and hunting community is responding in disgust. If you support wildlife killing contests, you support killing animals that aren't being harvested in any way and "management" that has no science to defend it. Its time to speak out against these brutal acts. #Repost from the incredible conservationist... @filipe_deandrade @download.ins --- According to the USDA, less than 1% of cattle and sheep (including calves and lamb) in the U.S. are killed by ALL CARNIVORES COMBINED ANNUALLY. This includes Wolves, Coyotes, Foxes, Bobcats and Pumas...the animals targeted in Wildlife Killing Contests. Yet contestants and organizers of these horrific events claim they kill countless predators as "management." By far, the predominant sources of mortality to livestock are disease (caused by prey species of carnivores) illness, birthing problems and weather. AGAIN, ACCORDING TO THE USDA. So.... Does this look like wildlife management based on science and best available data, or sport killing. Contestants layout their "trophies" to brag about how many animals that they understand little to nothing about yet killed anyway and goes against ethics, facts, science and fundamental hunting values.
