Writing poetry-ish stuff is my new favorite de-stressor.

Conflicted.

So I turn to you. 

These feelings have a life of their own,

and escape the demanding pressures of the English language.

Inexpressible as a whole, a jumble of words at best.

Cacophony.

My ears, they cannot feel besides for the music.

Words, no, were never enough. Not now.

I think of friends, those who are dear.

I think of those I have lost, due to life's strange ways.

I think of who and what could have been,

unconsciously humming a happy tune, a wistful gaze in my eyes.

The innocence, it kills me, inside.

The hope, I both welcome and shun.

Hope may forever stay hope, never to evolve into reality.

Shadows criss-cross my thoughts like an army marching through the night.

I concede myself to myself,

whatever crazy desires I may claim ownership towards.

Life is much too short to spend every other minute

criticizing,

         doubting,

                hesitating.

Enough.

I will fight, whatever form, whatever time.

This day will be beautiful.

I, then, look forward to this day.
