So I know you don't give two shits about my opinions, but... I read the entire Warriors series, I'm a huge fan, and I honestly don't believe that gay representation matters in the context of this series. I'm all for equal representation in anything, but they're cats. They're literally a bunch of cats living in the woods. Sexuality isn't an important factor in the books, gay or straight, except when Ashfur gets his fedora all ruffled.
they are cats humanized to the point where they have a religion, they know what lions/tigers/leopards are despite being in england, one of them directly reincarnates (because her life with a physical handicap isn’t good enough?), and as of bramblestar’s storm they use tools like they’re preparing to evolve past humans
they’re not ‘just cats’ in this setting.
also: see every single goddamn love arc where the main tom has to ~choose between two she-cats~ and tell me sexuality has no factor in these books. romance is like every second line - just because it’s straight doesn’t mean it’s not sexuality
