England is not Leverage Incorporated’s normal haunting grounds, but Eliot is familiar enough with the country. That is why Nate put him on this job when Eliot would definitely prefer to be anywhere else. That and he was really good at sniffing out the corrupt social workers and the corrupt foster parents who worked for them. Mostly because he never worked off the parents, he worked off the kids and actually listened to what they were saying.
He had just finished another interview with another foster family. They weren’t interested in picking up another kid, they had their hands full with the one foster kid and their two biological children. They were actually asking about maybe moving their foster son out, he was getting to be a handful and a headache for them, more so then they had been prepared for. Which meant that it was time to find and talk to said foster child, one James Moriarty.
The foster parents did not know where he was and it was not a school day, so Eliot sat down on the steps of the elegant little brownstone the family lived in. He could ask Hardison where the child was, but that seemed like overkill.
