does anyone else find it really weird whenever a native person makes a post about the ways in which they/their ancestors were hurt by colonizers, there’s a bunch of comments/other posts that pop up about how we shouldn’t put native people on a pedestal and that historically indigenous nations also did violence sometimes. idk it seems like some of y’all learned about the noble savage stereotype and then backpedaled so hard you landed in a different kind of racism
