Think i'm better now
I can't fucking sleep
((Stumbling into Aperture (Closed RP with stillaliveglados) ))
"I hope this works..." Char muttered to himself, plugging in his GEAR Science Multi-Verse Transport Apparatus into the computer via a make-shift plug he had re-wired himself. Never before had he used the computer to make these transitions, and he found it rather dangerous to be using 3rd-party adaptations to a device that could jump across time-space.
Grabbing a pen with his free hand, he leaned over on the desk and scribbled a check-mark next to a line on his notepad which read, "See about new AI system for lab."
He held the device far out in front of him and with a press of a button, a white beam of light finished connection between the edges of the V-shaped attachment at the end, completing the triangle. A blueish field was produced between the three sides, distorting the air around it. Slowly, he drew the device downward, creating a rip in time-space, through the 4th dimension, directly into the universe of his choosing. This one seemed to have a very unique AI system at least.
Slowly, he took a step through to the other side...

The lights on Char's electrocuff lit up, illuminating the forest floor. It wasn't even sunset yet, but he knew it would come soon and he couldn't afford to be caught off guard.
The headphone in his ear mumbled out something through static.
"P.T.S. last spott-- west area-- --eillance bots inspec-- --ight now."
Annoyed, he clicked a button on the side of the headphone. Due to the unique channel G.E.A.R. was using, he was having a difficult time getting the signal. Thankfully, his armored suit was G.E.A.R. property, otherwise he'd never have heard of the sighting.
Signs of a struggle, out of place blood spatters, animal tracks with human-like strides... all things he looked out for on this night as he scanned the forest over and over...
