I found out today that one of my favorite authors has just passed away. To me, Storm Constantine was more than just an inspiration, more than just a hero, I was lucky enough to call her a colleague. For me, the magic within her writing has rippled through my life in waves, awakening me to new ideas and new directions. Her work was so stirring and foundational for me when I was in college that I even have one of her wraeththu sigils tattooed on my shoulder. I always hoped that someday I would have an opportunity to meet her in person, but I'm grateful that I had a chance to write side-by-side with her so extensively. To say that she will be missed would be an understatement. She was a pioneer in so many ways, and a brilliant soul.
