Stormfog is one of my controversial characters in a sense of where her loyalties lie and wether she’s morally good or bad. Her entire life is built around her desire to have a noticeable purpose. She doesn’t want to be some regular cat who gets forgotten in the background and never remembered. She got this ideal when she was a kit, hearing from the elders all the stories about great cats who’d done great things to be remembered by. She wanted to be like that. She wanted to have a purpose that would set her apart from the rest. Doesn’t sound bad but the way she discovers this is a bit rocky. At first her father’s father Nightscar appears to her in a dream. Her father is both dead in spirit and body and her grandfather is a Dark Forest cat. At first she believes taking in training here would separate her immediately but quickly realizes their way of life and ideals are different from hers and she doesn’t want to be like them. She flees the Dark Forest and for future reference wills them to stay out of her dreams. She figures she should find another way to become memorable. At first she is lost and doesn’t know how. The death of her mother soon after shocks her to the core along with one of her brother’s death. The culprit being her sister who’d trained alongside her back in the Dark Forest which beforehand she hadn’t thought much of. Distraught and enraged by this betrayal, Stormfog attacks her sister in the dead of night bent on revenge and uses her training to ultimately kill her. Afterwards she feels this soothing calm settle over the pain and she finds a resolve in her own built purpose. She decides to be the blight upon evil. Stormfog takes the path of murder but only to the cats she deems are bad and unworthy of life. She feels no remorse when killing these cats and believes she’s doing good by killing them in cold blood. She justifies her actions by telling herself Starclan and the clans will be pleased when she erases all evil from the territories. She will be remembered as a savior to all clans. However Starclan does not approve and Stormfog becomes blind as to why. She refutes by continuing her actions and swearing that Starclan is wrong and will thank them when her deeds are done. That they are simply blinded of the truth because they don’t know yet what it’s like to be purged of the evil around them. I honestly love this oc of mine and I find her story really interesting and honestly this hunk of text is only a summary of what I have developed for her. I plan to share more details later.
