Lando’s Interesting Shirt Design in the Han Solo movie
In the upcoming Han Solo movie, Lando can be seen wearing a colourful shirt with a strange ship depicted on it.
The ship resembles a Stormsailer, a vehicle used to in aerial races across the Stormsea on the planet Pheryon.
It first made an appearance in the Poe Dameron comics (Issue #7) where Poe and his friend Suralinda “borrowed” a stormsailer to escape First Order agents.
Stormsailer racing was dangerous as the vehicles lacked wings and an engine, relying on sails and the wind. To gain an advantage, pilots would fly low into the dangerous Stormsea, risking their life to boost their speed. Only the most skilled pilots would survive such an attempt.
This dangerous and exciting sport would appeal to a gambler, skilled pilot and adventurer like Lando, not to mention the 1,000,000 credit price tag of a stormsailer.
