"Incoming!" The warning comes a few moments too late, despite her best efforts. Peony simply moved faster than Ava could process things sometimes, and while the dragonfly wasn't big enough to cause significant harm to anyone just by bumping into them, she is still able to have a little bit of an impact.

Ava is still arms length away by the time the dragonfly has run headfirst into Ethan, chattering excitedly as she latches onto him. "Sorry there wasn't much of a warning! She was really excited!"

"Ethan! I brought you something!" Ava's got something hidden behind her back, and she has to keep shifting it back and forth between her arms in order to keep it mostly out of sight. She knows that he said that it probably wasn't safe for her to come into his garden, but... Well, Ava wasn't one to back down from a challenge.

Plus, she really did want to see it, possible consequences be damned.

She remains silent for a few moments, deep in thought. Ava's knowledge on dogs was extremely limited, but she had heard of a poodle. Or a doodle. Or whatever those little things were called. "...It's not a type of dog?"

There's another stretch of silence, now fully lost in her own thoughts trying to remember why the word also sounded familiar past the dog comparison. Suddenly, she claps, eyes wide. "Oh! Right! They're the little cinnamon sugar cookies! I honestly forgot those existed..."

She's got two slightly bigger than normal dragonflies cupped in her hands, and one of them is definitely raring to go. "...Do you like bugs? I can dismiss them if you don't-" Maybe she should have asked before summoning the pair of them.

"Please tell me there's not some laws on magic here that I gotta adhere to-" Growing up in the society she had, Ava had gotten far too good at identifying groups that likely had governing bodies that would, more than likely, affect her in some way.

The problem with her own magic was that none of it actually fit into nice little category, it was all over the place. "...Nice staff, though, looks sick."
