Service Area Stalking & My Dream Rain Garden
I have a confession: I cyberstalk landscapers’ service maps to see if I’m "worthy." (Look, I live on the Essex/Baltimore County line—it’s a zoning limbo.)
My mission: A rain garden to stop my basement from flooding. I’d seen gorgeous ones in magazines, all chic curves and buzzing bees. My version? A sad puddle with mosquito larvae.
PTG’s service area page was a relief—they cover my weird little neighborhood! Even better, they mentioned "stormwater solutions" right there. No more guessing if my project was too niche.
New life goals:
A native-plant rain garden (PTG’s gallery has one with Joe-Pye Weed—so pretty).
Redirect the downspout that’s currently creating a moat by my AC unit.
Maybe a tiny pond? (Okay, that’s phase 2.)
Step one: Measure the soggy zone. Step two: Stop pretending I’ll DIY this.
