Time for another #sundaypageturner 🎟🤓🎟 Happy Sunday.. get them pages read or written🌟! . If you are familiar with McKee’s work.. hell yes! It’s either transformative after consuming or will be eventually. 🗝⚙️#storydynamics . I fell in love with his style when it all finally unfolded before me, because it seemed so rebellious and psychologically colorful (I find myself saying “flowery” lol). Not many have that swagger and deep knowledge of more than the basic concepts and structures I would found / their web of sub concepts and categories. I felt he was an elegant middle finger to the system, but mainly because his wealth and depth of knowledge / multi-layered and dynamic comprehension of information and Story was more heady📚🧠. . I have to go back and reread, because so much has changed and been experienced since the first couple reads. I ALWAYS grow exponentially by revisiting the elements of this life that instantly started the mechanisms of change within my life experience. 🎟🧨 . “Robert McKee (born January 30, 1941) is an author, lecturer and story consultant who is widely known for his popular "Story Seminar", which he developed when he was a professor at the University of Southern California. McKee is the author of Story: Substance, Structure, Style and the Principles of Screenwriting, Dialogue: the Art of Verbal Action for Stage, Page and Screen and Storynomics: Story-Driven Marketing in the Post-Advertising World. McKee also has the blog and online writers' resource "Storylogue". Rather than teaching story as a "mechanical" form, McKee gained notoriety for teaching story principles, allowing writers for theater, novels, film and television freedom to apply them as they wish provided the story ultimately "works". After consulting on business storytelling for various multinational companies including Microsoft, Nike, Hewlett-Packard, Time Warner, and Siemens, in 2013 McKee launched a seminar for the business community in Los Angeles, New York City, Beijing, and Malta. Holeeey what the hell!! Humbled and honored.. wow! 🎈🎉 I had no real direction when starting this lil internet nook, but things quickly took on a life of its own (+plus a shyt ton of work/faith in the process👻) and has become a portal vortex for so many 💀✍🏼#storywarriors 📝⚔️🎥 . Have been working around the clock most daze to be able to help with real Story problems and life issues that we all deal with. Finally understanding my own calling.. Am fully engrossed and fused.. shutting it off or down is not an option at this time and space. It’s an addiction and I can’t open my eyes without seeing #storydynamics and the #narrativespectrum everywhere and throughout everything. I finally make sense to my self and my skin hugs my bones in a manner never before experienced. I think we become so damaged/in constant states of repair and seek because of who we have to become to ascend beyond who we had no choice but to be.. that I was rejecting myself at a core level. It all changed when I started writing. 📓🦋 . Thank you for your constant words of encouragement, personal Stories, and viewpoints! I’ve yet to find a better medicine or coping device than this #formlesscollective life we are all sharing. .
