she couldn’t believe david had done this, she had tried to avoid him all day. offering to hunt or get some firewood, doing the little things to avoid him and the camp in general. she some space so she could wrap her head around what had been revealed at the cave. she was utterly confused at her husbands confession and her heart was open like a flesh wound. her thoughts were jumbling trying to make sense out of anything and everything, analyzing every interaction. the rock in her chest that had told her that something was wrong hadn’t settled, it had more or less grown in size. she didn’t know if the tears that were building in her eyes were out of frustration that he didn’t trust her enough or hurt. she returned to camp putting the firewood down, before shrugging off any attempt of explanations with a snarling. “ not now. ” before marching away again.
