things had been different since they had gotten out of the prison world. mom was back to run the school and deal with the mess her darker self had made while josie was still struggling with the repercussions of the black magic, kai was still out there roaming the earth likely plotting the twins murder and their dad was... swallowing thickly at the thought, josie put the mascara down before she turned around, her eyes swiftly moving across the room. today marked the first day she would go back to class and try to make up with her fellow students and most importantly continue to apologize to her sister, and to say that she was nervous was an understatement. grabbing her school books, the brunette made a mental note to stop by her mom’s office in hope’s of getting a few nice words of encouragement as she placed the book in her bag, though she couldn’t ignore the nagging in the back of her mind. josie was worried that it had been hard on her mom, taking care of the twins and the rest of the school and handling everything after such a long time... she didn’t want to add to it. a deep sigh escaped her lips as her doe eyes stared back at her reflection in the mirror one last time before she left the room and headed for the headmaster’s office. raising a fist, she knocked twice before pushing the wooden door open. “ mom, i- “ she fell silent as her dark hues noticed the other person in the room, sitting on the opposite side of her mom’s desk and her eyes widened in surprise. “ oh. sorry. i didn’t- i just- i’m sorry, mom. i didn’t mean to interrupt. “ she spoke to her mom, yet her gaze lingered on the stranger, taking in his features for a moment - he was cute. really cute. “ hi. i’m josie. “ she introduced herself with a smile, tilting her head slightly.
