Strand Brewing’s Little Bear Unfiltered IPA (Picked up at Windmill Farms). A 3 of 4. A pretty standard tropical/pine/citrus hop profile without a ton of complexity. Medium body, and relatively standard bitterness in the body with some nice caramel malt sweetness. Solid.
Strand Brewing’s 24th Street Pale Ale (Picked up at Whole Foods in Newport Beach). A 3 of 4. Deeper orange color than I was expecting, and has some nice sticky lacing. Smells of quite a bit of citrus - both bitter pith and some juice-like qualities. Some caramel malt sweetness in the body and some faint herbal hoppiness. Drinks quite easily, and even finishes slightly bitter for a pale ale.
