So my hair is green and I'm trying to put blue over it without having to bleach it 🙃 LOL what do yall think..? Should I try doing the whole thing this teal blue-green color? 🤔 hmmmmmm
I did my strand test with the henna I got tonight! I got HennaHut’s burgundy. This was maybe an hour or two after I washed it out and it had dried naturally. I’ll post again tomorrow with the 12 hour pic to see how the color is developing. It's a bit darker than it looks in the picture. I really like it so far! If it get another shade or two darker/richer it’ll be perfect.
I'm still just so nervous with henna! First time I'm dying my hair with something that cannot be easily dyed over. I know I'll either have to go dark brown and deal with the awkward roots or bleach my hair and redye it something closer to my natural hair color which will suck. Here's to hoping it doesn't come to that!
Basics of hair care
How do you know if you need protein or moisture? you can do a strand test
take a piece of new shed hair from your scalp or comb out a piece of shed hair.
Begin to stretch it.
if it stretches to 15%-20% then bounces back then you hair is perfectly balanced.
if it stretches alot the break of then your lacking both protein and moisture.
if continues to stretch and does not regain its original length then you are lacking protein and you to apply some protein treatment to your hair.
if it breaks as you stretch it then your lacking moisture and you to start moisturizing and seal your hair.
Doing the strand test for he second time now because the last one didn't do anything. Last time I used caca marron, now I'm using rouge. I used a heck of a lot more, mixed it well, and I'm going to leave it in for longer. Hoping for the best!
