Meet: Teal Sapphire Sapphire looked into the future, and saw destruction. Where beautiful plants and living creatures thrived, destruction and desolation would be left in it's place. She saw gemkind ripping taking the landscape and forging it to their own liking.

She saw centuries of destruction, leaving the planet hollow from everything except gems. Then, she saw them abandon the planet too.

She was heartbroken. And Sapphire could not except that.

So she started a rebellion.

Day #13

StrandedAU Jax!

StrandedAU is a tiny side AU that was inspired by an old book called the Timeswept City. The first chapter was POV a man who was plugged into a spaceship as both it’s computer and pilot, and the imagery resonated with a younger me so much.

In the AU Jax fills that role of Central computer/Pilot for a ship, but the ship has been derelict for well over a hundred years by now. His life support still works, and he’s still using the bots and drones to maintain the hull as best he can, but he’s stuck in the loop of daily tasks to complete even though he knows there’s no real point. He can’t leave the tank so he may as well keep himself busy.

Cue a research ship coming to salvage the derelict (it’s a marvel of ancient tech now), and the crew is shocked that the thing is in good condition for its age, and even more shocked when one of the crew (Monroe) find that the prototype pilot is still alive and still mostly sane. 

Jax is carefully removed from the tank by Monroe and the crew agree to keep him a secret from the historical society that funded the recovery of the ship, concerned that they may treat him like hardware and not like a person. 

I have a weakness for ‘man out of time’ scenarios, and this is just a fun feel-good AU for me.

      Niklaus's eyes began to slowly open, he didn't remember anything. All he recalled the frantic of it all but nothing of the crash. He forces himself up as he struggles slightly the moment he feels a sharp pain in his ribs. He had enough strength pull himself up and take a few short steps. Looking around at his surrounding, it appeared that there was no one around him. "----Hello?" He called out.

It had been a couple of weeks since the crash. Everyone was still a bit disoriented but recovering. Saph however...well,she wasn't sure how she was feeling about all of this. She wasn't happy about it because of all the lives lost but at the same time,being stuck on an island was something she'd come to like it a little bit. There was something about the quiet she liked. She hadn't gotten to know anyone closely yet. Maybe that was because she didn't open up easily. As she sat on her spot on the beach,she heard movement behind her and said,"If you're looking for the fires are,you won't find any here...I can't light a fire for anything."

It had been a few weeks and no one seemed to notice the fourteen year old kid. Kinda like back at home. So she pretty much fended for herself. Which was poorly at that. She hated fish. The taste was tolerable if she HAD to eat it which at this point was one of the few options. But generally for some reason they made her sick. So she mostly ate a few fruits from plants. Because throwing up in an island sucked. She drank from a spring like everyone else. And craved a shower. maybe there's some soap somewhere in the suitcase of mine that didn't burn  up. wash my hair in the ocean I don't care. She looked kind of awful. "That's what I get for going to New York alone on a plane. Well at least being stranded on an island is better than being with my dad."

I've decided for now to not take on anymore group verses on Nat. Stranded and sgmwau are the only  ones I am sticking to. For now.
