Danish painter, Vilhelm Hammershøi (May 15, 1864 - 1916) demonstrated better than most state of the art techniques of social distancing already 130 years ago...

Hammershøi has risen to international fame for his cool, gray-toned interiors, often featuring a female figure with her back turned. He has inspired music, photography and cinematography since his rise to fame in the 1990s/2000s.

During his lifetime Hammershøi was friends with poets such as Rilke, and admired by peers such as Renoir…
