Oh my God, *maybe that's the fucking point*, Anon? Maybe it's *supposed* to be a contrast to Marianne's relationship with Roland, which most likely was far longer but was utterly false and shallow. Whereas Bog and Marianne from the get go were only ever REAL with each other, real in their anger and their faults and their attraction.

It was a connection that had them drop the walls they had both been keeping up for God knows how long, and as *strange* as it is...Love is like that. Also, this is a movie that THRIVES on high emotions and situations and stakes. Marianne and Bog's relationship works for this movie, and it's a credit to it and how their characters were told/spun that even in the short amount of time they had, their attraction and connection truly feels genuine.

Doesn't Nonny know that time actually moves faster in animated kids movies? It's like how the Pevensies can live entire lives in the "five minutes" they spent in the wardrobe. It's all very wibbly-wobbly.

Like, if it was a Love At First Sight thing, sure, that's a cliche (though it *can* be done well). But...we see how well Marianne and Bog are suited for each other. Them meeting only hammers that home. It's not that they "only knew each other for five minutes" or a night - it's that in a short amount of time, both of these characters, both of them with HUGE trust issues and heartbreaks, felt a connection between them.

I feel you my dear. XD It's already hard for me to write him as asshole, but being truly romantic and all that? Kudos to you for trying. And my whole weekend writting wise was writting one or two sentences every know and then. I'm slow like a snail right now. XD
