Trubel and Nick, ‘So do you guys play good guy/bad guy musical chairs every time I leave or what, 'cause I never know what to expect when I visit.’
"So do you guys play good guy/bad guy musical chairs every time I leave or what, 'cause I never know what to expect when I visit."
Nick blinks, too caught up in... Whatever just happened (he's been talking nonsense for the past two hours, talking about time traveling mirrors and healing sticks and everyone dying,) to register her words immediately. "What do you mean?"
She huffs, plopping down beside him. "Like, when I met you, Adalind was the bad guy, right? Juliette was good, and Renard... He was okay. Then I left, and when I came back, Adalind was apparently good or whatever, and Juliette was trying to kill everybody. Next time, Juliette was good again, kinda, and Renard turned bad. Now Renard's good again?"
He seems to be weighing her words, before giving a huff of laughter. "Yeah, I don't know about that." He glances over to where Renard is sitting on the couch, just out of hearing range, playing with Kelly and Diana. "But I think he's on the right track."
Hopefully it's a long track, because she doesn't think she'll be forgiving him anytime soon. Still, it's nice to know that Meisner wasn't all wrong about the guy.
