what i noticed when i saw your blog: well at first i thought it was a bit flashy BUT THEN the sidebar thingy loaded with the skulls and i just wow. okay the red and the black balances each other out fabulously and the skulls just add that icing ontop . good job

yeah I definitely will! the texture IS awesome… you can almost imagine him laying down each little slab of paint haha.

in a way that's sort of what he did! i've read that he was very particular about the colors he used and would mix all of them before hand himself instead of using a standard pallete, and then apply all the paint thickly with a knife ^o^

what media does he use??

i'm pretty sure he worked exclusively with oil on canvas. i've seen some of those paintings in the post (the last two i'm p sure) and they're huge! almost a whole wall!

aren't they though? the texture is amazing up close! i actually love that whole artistic movement, les automatistes from Quebec. i strongly recommend looking into it if you like this stuff!
