First I would like to express how sad I am that I have only just discovered this Texan emsemble. While the band’s sound has undergone many transformations since they first hit the scene back in 2007, The Strange Boys seem to be able to pull off whatever sound fits their fancy. On the track,” Me and You“ Ryan Sambol’s raspy vocal stylings seem reminiscent of Spoon’s Britt Daniels (maybe it’s an Austin, Texas thing?) while the upbeat melody has me thinking of The Silver Seas circa, “The Country Life.” (It just has some of that same carefree feeling.) Anyhow hope you enjoy it!
