After the last workshop with the folding forms that we did, one thought and image that keeps coming to me is the series of inkblots that psychologist Hermann Rorschach created for the examination of a person's personality characteristics and emotional functioning. I would like to try and interpret these into folding forms. I am attracted to the symmetry but at the same time the abstract and ‘strange’ form that image has. Also I find that the psychological aspect behind their creation, could be translate into the stranger brief, the lost identity, the difference in cultures and the stranger in a strange place that I explore.
