Stranger I know -- Felix/Idris (12/01 8:45AM)
The soft rays of sunlight flooded into the great room, tiny slivers of light peaking from behind the thick drapes that hung in front of the windows. A few residents were scattered around the widely used room. Some sipping mugs of coffee, others engrossed into some book that was held between their hands, and a few snuggled together, peppering each other with loving kisses. Felix hung in the doorway of the Great room, watching everyone around him with keen eyes. He envied the simpleness of their mornings. The worry free look on their joyful faces. Felix couldn't recall the last time he woke without a care in the world. Those days appeared to be slipping through his grasp faster and faster, disappearing at a speed he could not keep up with. After the e-mail from his father, the charming submissive had been feeling an itching of paranoia. Eyes were on him. Who's eyes they may be was still a mystery, but one that managed to keep Felix up at night. His fingers were already nervously tapping against the wooden frame of the door, wishing he had brought his guitar with him to soothe his nerves. He opted on leaving the sentimental instrument back at his cot, not feeling a reason to bring it along. Felix was almost tempted to make a mad dash back to the level 1 sleeping quarters, but when he glanced at his watch and saw it was 8:42, he decided to skip the trip and wait for Idris. He didn't want to be rude and show up late because of some silly need he had to play a few chords to settle his anxiety.
Idris Cain. The name alone held an aura of mystery and intrigue around it. One thing Felix noticed more than anything about Idris was his ability to be vague, but still give glimpses into the kind of person he is. While everyone was noticing the dom's looks more than anything else, which were something to admire, Felix was more interested in cracking open Idris's mind and seeing what else he had going on inside. Perhaps that was the reason he agreed to meet the striking male in person. Though they briefly met at Thanksgiving, it wasn't really a time for a one on one conversation. Not when there was bloodied up dominants stumbling into Emory's condo. Felix wasn't one for violence. If needed to defend himself or help the life of another, he'd get over his qualms about blood shed and do what he needed to. But in general, Felix Princeton would never use violence as a means of defense. Not when he had his cunning an charm to get him by. His thoughts drifted back to Idris. From the heavy topics they had already covered before, Felix was ever so curious about where their discussions would lead them today. The sub wasn't planning on spilling his life story to the man, he couldn't even if he wanted to, but Felix was looking forward to more riveting conversation with the calm and collected dominant.
Rubbing his tired eyes, Felix rested his head against the frame of the door. He needed to get some decent sleep tonight if he wanted to stay on alert. The sub had to find out who it was that was watching over him, for his father. He frowned, clenching his jaw in frustration. His life would never be it's own. Not with the most controlling man one can think of as a father. A cluster of voices behind made Felix glance sharply over his shoulder. A group of submissives headed down the hallway, a few casually gazing at Felix, giggling bashfully. He nodded back with a smile, cursing himself for being so paranoid. He had to relax. He had to get it together before Idris arrived. The last thing Felix was about to show in front of any man or woman was weakness.
