Monthly reminder that EA did Christie Sigworth so, so dirty
I have always kinda loved George Cahill and his sweet ass home/ride/bunker, Penelope. In one of my favorite saves, he and Summer Holiday got married, had a kid, got divorced, and he spent the last few days of his life running around StrangerVille, knocking over trash cans and yelling conspiracy theories at people. Just too relatable, tbqh.
The Roswells are another one of those couples, like the Pancakes, that always seem to divorce in my games. So with the Grow Together family-dynamics system, I made their relationship “difficult” just to help that along. The first time I ever played through the StrangerVille story line, I had them have a son I named “Theo” who was my sim’s romantic interest. They can make pretty cute kids! Otherwise, Ted is a possessed dingus and Meredith is an actual baby angel.
The poor, poor Sigworths. With Jess perpetually possessed by T̼̼̖̾͟͞H͇͇̹͊ͪ́̕ͅE̢̢̻ͮͧͦ͋͞͡ M͚͚̻͂̇͜͟͟Ơ̷̴̪̪̝͈̥͈̆̀̚T̼̼̖̾͟͞H͇͇̹͊ͪ́̕ͅE̢̢̻ͮͧͦ͋͞͡R̛̦̦̝̤͌̏͜͟͜, Dylan’s on his own to raise Christie. Who 100% has noticed the weird way her mom behaves. I’ve only ever interacted with them when working on the StrangerVille story, but was struck by how attractive the parents are! I usually just age up Christie, fix her weird af looking head that came out of absolutely nowhere (rant incoming), and have her help me out since she’s got stock in how it all works out. Later Christie hooks up with Erwin pries, unless I have a sim who already snatched him.
I’ve mentioned this on Reddit so many times (back when that was a thing I used), but the Eclectic Arts household has always been a polyamorous triad/polycule to me. In previous saves, Mark and Alice are officially married, but are both in a committed relationship with Leslie. The three share a deep appreciation of the arts and love reading. They each have one child between them, which is extra awesome thanks to science babies for the ladies. TBF I am a very boringly monogamous person but I completely see polyamory as a legitimate way to love and live with others, and this particular trio lasting through every save I’ve made them all involved is all the evidence I need. (That and irl examples I suppose.)
