It’s my Summer 2020 anime list

I almost felt like there was no point posting this so late but here we are .

I’ve still got some series to start/finish watching from my last few lists. Oregariru and Fugou Keiji got delayed due to the Coronavirus so I’m still watching those. Luckily there aren’t many to add this season:

1) Kimetsu no Yaiba

I’ve been meaning to watch this one. I want to see what the hype is all about.

2) Mo Dao Zu Shi Q

My beautiful idiots in chibi form. Why wouldn’t I watch it?

3) Nihon Chinbotsu 2020

If I can find it somewhere.

4) The God of High School

Mostly watching for the fight scenes.

Wow. There’s even less than I thought there’d be. I guess that’ll give me time to catch up with the rest? Who knows?

Here are my Spring 2020 anime choices!

I still need to catch up on some of the series I have/have not started but the last season’s anime selection was better than it has been for years. Due to having to go into self-isolation, I’ve had more time to binge watch series and rekindle my love of anime.

I really loved Housekishou Richard-shi no Nazo Kantei and ID:Invaded. I enjoyed Pet more than I thought I would and Hoshiai no Sora was great up until the puzzling end. Both were deliciously dark and definitely neeeeed second seasons.  

 Rikei ga Koi ni Ochita no de Shoumei shitemita was hilarious and I’m in the middle of watching Runway de Waratte. Still need to start Majutsushi Orphen Hagure Tabi and I know I’m going to like Haikyuu!!: To the Top when I finally get around to continuing it.

Onto the next set of series:

1) Arte

The art (Eheh ... Leave me alone) kind of reminds me of Violet Evergarden but it’s not as wow. Still looks interesting. My artist sister might like it too.

  2) Fruits Basket 2nd Season

Ready for more heart break and getting to know more interesting characters. Especially Akito.

3) Fugou Keiji: Balance:Unlimited

Bromance. Detectives. That’s all I’m saying.

4) Gleipnir

Cute little angsty guy is secretly a monster. What could go wrong?

5) Kami no Tou

I’ve been meaning to read the webtoon for months but the chapter count is a tad intimidating. Maybe watching it will change that.

6) Kitsutsuki Tanteidokoro

Bromance. Detectives. Part 2.

7) Nami yo Kiitekure

Potentially strong female lead. Hope she doesn’t yell as much as she does in the trailer.

8) Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru. Kan

I’ve missed this show so much. It’s one of my favourite anime series ever. Looking forward to Hikki’s fake nonsense.

9) Yesterday wo Utatte

I’m ... not actually sure why I picked this one. Maybe I’m hoping for some drama? I don’t know.

Here it is, peoples:

1) Ahiru no Sora

Gotta love little cuties.

2) Babylon

The trailer sounded like lots of grown people losing their minds. Sounds right up my street. Heh heh.

3) Boku no Hero Academia 4th Season

Can’t wait to see these two kicking villain backsides together.

4) Chihayafuru 3

I remember the bare necessities of this series but I loved it so I will watch it.

5) Kabukichou Sherlock

I’m a simple person. I see Sherlock’s name. I give it a chance.

6) Kono Oto Tomare! 2nd Season

What the hell was the end of the last season any way? Of course I’m watching the next.

7) Psycho-Pass 3

This series hasn’t let me down too much. Also that kid is cute and he looks like Kougami and Akane’s child. Speak of the devils ... where were they in the trailer???

I feel like I only log in to Tumblr to post these now. The whole site is weird and funny coloured and glitchy and I really want to watch an emotional/meaningful anime. :-(

But hey, Boku no Hero and Psycho-pass are back so that’s definitely something to look forward to.

My Winter 2019 anime list has arrived!

First anime list of the year. Daaaaaang.

My last winter anime list seemed to be very popular and I have no idea why.

Truth is ... I haven’t even started some of the series on my last list and I only added five! Awful, I know. Hopefully this season will be a little more ... engaging *tries not to sigh*

1) 3D Kanojo: Real Girl 2nd Season

I remember liking the characters in here. Hoping I still do. 

2) Domestic na Kanojo

This one is probably going to be a tad awkward. Bring on the drama.

3) Dororo

Getting some Sword of the Stranger vibes from this one.

4) Doukyonin wa Hiza, Tokidoki, Atama no Ue

This one is probably just going to make mushy noises come from my skull the entire time. Looks too cute already.

5) Fukigen na Mononokean Tsuzuki

I enjoyed this one before too. Hope we get more back story for both main characters.

6)  Kaguya-sama: Love is War

The main female character looks like she might not be the usual dumb Shoujo heroine. I hope I’m not wrong.

7) Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari

Dark looking protagonist? I’m in.

8) Yakusoku no Neverland

I’m actually genuinely interested in this one. As in, I kind of have a good feel about it. It could be what I’m looking for. It could also mess up spectacularly. I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

I’ll never give up anime but I feel like anime is giving up on me. It’s like they’re running out of good stories and characters or something. Can at least one of these series hold my interest like anime used to? Please?

Edit: I’ve removed W’z from the list because apparently it’s a sequel to Hand Shakers. Need to watch that first. In it’s place, I’ve added  Kaguya-sama: Love is War and Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari. Both caught my eye afterwards so here they are ^_^.

Check out my Summer 2019 anime list

I’m going to laugh because otherwise I’ll cry.

Seriously where are all the good anime at? The only two new series that look like they could be something is Dr. Stone and Vinland Saga. I’m going to try seven this season because I still have more left over from the last few seasons. Have I become more fussy or is the anime industry running dry? I hope it’s neither of them.

1) Bem

Kind of upset already because Bem was a lot prettier in the Japanese live action series (Kamenashi Kazuya anyone?) However, I’ll forgive them if they keep him true to his character in that series. He had a beautiful soul too. 

2) Dr. Stone

To be honest, the art style both drew me in and put me off at the same time. But I’m hoping the characters and story hold my attention.

3) Enen no Shouboutai

Again the art style nearly made me give this one a miss but it deserves a chance. It;’s like lots of different animators worked separately on individual characters and then threw them all together.

4) Kanata no Astra

No idea what to expect from this one except space. I like space.

5) Starmyu 3rd Season

Looking forward to seeing my dorky, dancing boys again.

6) Try Knights

Not sure what to expect from this either but they look beautiful . Anyone know where I can find a trailer?

7) Vinland Saga

This one gave me Arslan Senki vibes. Which means it could be epic. Looking forward to starting this one.

My Spring 2019 anime list!

This list has come late again. I know and I’m sorry. Thing is, I have some semblance of a life now. and it gets in the way of stuff now more than ever. So do excuse me. Heh heh.

I had a thought. What if the reason I can’t find many great anime is because I’m restricting myself. I should start more at one time, even if I do end up dropping them straight away. Just for the exposure. Meh ...

So here’s my latest anime list:

Bungou Stray Dogs 3rd Season

Looking forward to seeing my little tiger friend, my suicidal baby and all of their buddies again.

Carole & Tuesday

Looking for some good girl friendships. And the art is pretty.

Cowboy Bebop

Seems to be a classic that I haven’t watched yet.

Fruits Basket (2019)

I was hoping for a continuation of this. The old series left some stuff unexplained. Hope this one doesn’t do the same.

Kono Oto Tomare!

Looks like it might be kind of emotional and the main guy reminds me of someone.

Mayonaka no Occult Koumuin

The art style seems familiar. Anyone recognise it from another anime series?

Shingeki no Kyojin Season 3 Part 2

Of coooooourse .... So hyped.

Shinsekai Yori

I’ve heard good things about this one. Hope it won’t be a let down.

Shoujo Kakumei Utena

Same with this one. Also another classic. Legend of the Galactic Heroes has given me hope when it comes to slightly older art styles.

Shoumetsu Toshi

Could be cool. Could be cute. Could be absolute rubbish. Guess I’ll find out either way.

On a side note, Yakusoku no Neverland was awesome and Dororo is still going strong. I neeeeeed more like those. Feel free to throw me some recommendations. In the mean time, let’s go watch these things, people!

What the actual heck happened?

The vibrancy of these colours literally made me lean back away from the screen as soon as I signed in.

And the font is weird. Is it just me?

I feel like I just took off my glasses but I haven’t worn glasses for months.

The blue is a nice blue, just ... not when I wasn’t expecting it.
