Having the unique job that he does, Alabastar attracts some strange people to his work. I title this piece 'A Summary of Alabastar's Pursuers', as a sort of visualisation of their aim to stop him or question him. Below the line is an explanation from left to right of each of these characters - Strata45, Roman Morosen, and Bailey :)
Strata45 is an agent of ExpireAegis and she oversees Alabastar's work sending him messages and reminders about things in a very pestering manner. She's very evil-natured and has the ability to take over Alabastar's mind for a short while if he goes to do something to impact his job (E.G. trying to die or telling the authorities about the ExpireAegis agency.)
Roman Morosen has been hired to track down Alabastar, because he's a supernatural interference with death, and a wanted murderer according to the authorities. The only way Roman can figure out how to track him down is to sign up to Alabastar's death app to lure him in. Of course, Roman can't die, he revives the next day, so dying my Alabastar is of no risk to him. These two have a constant rivalry, where they're both trying to do their job but can't complete it because of an endless cycle. (His reference is also here)
Bailey is a radio show host who interviews people who have died and are currently in the afterlife. He notices people calling in about being killed by this 'Enigma' guy and he becomes interested in this mysterious being. He makes it his goal to search out Alabastar and interview him. He stalks his every move and pesters him for information. Usually, Alabastar is fine with talking to anyone and being their friend, but he's been told by the agency to avoid Bailey at all costs. He likes dressing as a bee and his radio station is called 'Beefore the News' cause it always plays before the news.

If you are unsure of Alabastar's story you can read it here. This is of course all part of my story 'When Mourning Comes' (readable here)
Thanks for reading and comments are always appreciated 📷
These are the four main characters of my next series which is currently undergoing a name change. It used to be called 'When Mourning Comes' but i felt that only encompassed Roman's part of the story, and now that Alabastar is more of the main character, the title must change. Below the break is a summary of these four :D
Alabastar Killjoy - Professional Movie Critic and Employee of ExpireAegis as a death contractor. He is overly optimistic and cares about people, he always puts others before himself. As part of his contract, he must console people and judge whether or not they are ready to pass on. Using a bow, and arrows formed by strands of his hair, he humainly takes peoples lives. He doesn't know why the company he works for benefits from this, but their motto is to always help people first and foremost. When the people he helps pass on, they are able to leave a review on his services. And much like how he critiques and rates movies, he aims for a good score for what he does. Alabastar often gets in trouble for talking to random strangers everywhere he goes, but he's a very social person, and risks his anonimity to talk to people who interest him.
Strata-45 - An employee of ExpireAegis, Strata-45 is part of a hive-mind network of administration personel that assist their assigned contractors. Strata is Alabastar's assigned administrator, and her days consist of updating him with reports and assigning him jobs to complete. She is rather cold and emotionless, but remains a good friend to Alabastar through their many years of work together. She knows more about ExpireAegis than what she tells Alabastar, but cannot tell him due to the rules she is bound by. She holds some resentment towards the company despite the fact that she can never quit her job.
Roman Morosen - An employee of an agency that investigates supernatural crimes. Every night at 8pm he dies and comes back to life the next day - it is the agencies way of reshuffling their employees DNA so they can remain untraceable. His current task is to investigate a group of time travelling humans who seem to be eliminating random targets. He catches onto the fact that they may be tracking the one named 'Enigma' so he makes it his goal to do the same. He is very gloomy and ultimately a logical thinker that dismisses his feelings for his work. His main weapon is a gun that deploys stun bullets - he has never killed another person for his work.
Bailey - A boy who's last name is unknown, he works outside of his school life as a radio show host for 'Beefore The News', a show he started by himself when he learned he could channel a connection with ghosts in the city. He speaks to them on his show and asks them how they died, before their ghost disappears from the human realm. Suddenly, he starts to hear about deaths caused by someone who goes by the name of 'Enigma' and this piques his interest. He seeks out this 'Enigma' wanting to know what he is all about, and somewhat idolises him and his job.
