I hate the way the Fell Xenologue DLC was implemented. The content itself was fine (though I hated Chapter 5′s map), but the set levels for the characters and having to reply the entire thing per save file if you want said characters in your game is a huge pain since I got them at the very end so they’re incredibly low-leveled.
FE: Engage is like FEH but more developed to me with protagonists like those from FE: Warriors from the glimpse I saw of the clip and what I read. I’m tired of the summoning of older characters mechanic, personally, and wish it’d be a whole new cast of characters. There can be references to previous games and their characters, maybe playable in a flashback, but not a main feature.
I know I sound like I’m trapped in nostalgia, but I’m disappointed this is the direction the franchise seems to want to go in more fully. I’ll probably skip it until a new FE game is released without the character summoning mechanic.
YES, IT ABSOLUTELY IS. 👏
Where is Bad Girl Edelgard in a leather jacket riding a motorcycle and saying, “Fuck the Church”? We need more of this.
No smoking though, she wouldn’t do it just to look cool.
Jertiza killed his father because he was going to marry (a then-younger) Mercedes to use with the goal of reproducing more children bearing crests. Good for Jertiza, honestly. I’m glad. He can also beat up Bernadetta’s father while he’s at it.
In the Japanese version of Edelth's S-support they explicitly get married and Edelgard says how in the future after she turns the empire over to her chosen heir, she wants her and Byleth to go on their honeymoon/intimate period of time together. In the end card the time they spent together in the Japanese version is referred to as their loving moments and refers to them as spouses. Edeleth is absolutely canon and I love it.
People: I hate Edelgard! (Insert reasons that are addressed in her supports and route here) Me: Hmm.... *Keeps scrolling* Same people: I also refuse to play the BE route. Me: There it is.
