If you’ve been following along for a bit, you know that I’m a pretty big fan of all things Leo Fender. On the desk (and bench) today: a fantastic example of one of Mr. Fender’s later-in-life creations, the rare G&L Cavalier ... featuring his slanted humbucker pickups. Guitar dates to about 1983 or 1984. The model never really caught on, but my ears love the sound of these ‘buckers, personally. Gave this one a setup and actually am pondering using it for at least a song or two during @twosevenkilo sets.
