Whumpee waking up in hospital, their breathing raspy through the oxygen mask as they rouse from unconsciousness, their eyelids fluttering and they immediately whimper in pain, their heart monitor spiking.

This immediately alerts the doctor/caretaker who rushes into the room, gently soothing back whumpee’s hair as they gently shift open the front of whumpee’s gown, placing the cool edge of the stethoscope to their bruised skin.

Once they finish their exam, gently soothing whumpee through their pain, they stay by their bedside, eyes kind and sympathetic as they watch whumpee slowly fall unconscious, their raspy breathing through the mask and the steady beeps of the heart monitor being the only sounds in the room.
