did the first star savior know that they'd remain themself, when the red x told them they'd be forced to become their own enemy? did they realize that they were going to be aware of every second outside of their control?
i wonder if they thought they'd be twisted to the red x's whims in mind and body, be made to agree with what they had to do, and sent off to do it. would they have considered that worse?
would it be worse? to agree with the awful things you were forced to do? it wouldn't be suffering. they'd be at peace with their deeds, even if they knew they had to lose, eventually. would they cheer the red x on as their past self became them? maybe it's best things turned out like they did.
