How long has it been? Forever? Seems accurate.

I’m near and around my computer more often now, so let’s see if I can get back into this.  I want to reply to drafts, but I’m sure NOBODY remembers anything!   I shall link the previous things here:

Alisha rubbed her head, noticing the slight knot, then looked back up. She’d fallen quite a way-- she couldn’t even see where she’d fallen from-- she supposed it was good she didn’t seem more seriously harmed. 

What little light there was, was dim, filtered. Either she was far underground... or she been out so long that the sun had set.

Oh dear. She hoped Sorey and the others weren’t too worried. Though... she also hoped they were looking for her.

She heard a noise-- a foot stepping on a bit of loose rock?-- and her head immediately turned that direction, her hand reaching for her spear.

“Who’s there? Show yourself!”

“Oh, I guess that’s true. Just thought I’d ask.” Smiling at the sureness in Alvin’s voice, the younger was just glad he’d walked in at the right time. Jude glanced down to check on the bacon and see how it was coming along, but despite the louder sizzling noise the strips weren’t quite crispy yet, so he settled for moving them around the pan.  

He paused thoughtfully, considering the question. “Occasion? I guess there isn’t one really… I woke up early for once and figured, why not?” A soft blush reached the boy’s face and he gave Alvin a sheepish sort of look.

“Well, guess I’ll consider myself pretty lucky, then.” Alvin decided that the bacon was probably too hot to pilfer straight from the pan, not that he wasn’t tempted. “Need a hand?” It looked like the kid had the stove well under control, but there were napples and poranges set out on the cutting board, untouched.

“Think the girls’ll be up soon, or should we plan on breakfast in bed for ‘em?”

Naturally the                 blonde thought it was his                 best friend. But was proven                 wrong quite quickly.

Ludger had fallen asleep on the sofa.  It wasn’t uncommon for the Kresnik to nap, but middle of the day when he was expecting company? It indicated that he’d been sleeping poorly.

Not really surprising considering everything.

But.

He didn’t hear when Jude knocked on the door.  He didn’t hear when Jude opened the door.  He certainly didn’t hear when Jude walked over to the sofa.

There was a cook book haphazardly sprawled across Ludger’s chest, one arm dangling off the couch, his legs were akimbo.

He was just a mess.

“…Alvin…” He just shook his head, a small grin forming. The teasing was predictable as ever, but as always, it wasn’t a bad thing. 

“W-What? My sexy side?!” The incredulous tone was unmistakable, but with Alvin’s arm slung around his shoulder it reminded him things were all in good fun so he tried not to get too flustered, and instead just took off the frames slowly to hold them in his hand. “Well, so much for that idea…”

“You say this like it’s a bad thing.” Still all in good fun, but Alvin was always one to push as far as he could. “I dunno, I think you ought to go for it. Unless you don’t want the attention.”

Kennedia, or Queen Anne's Lace?

Kennedia: One thing your character admires in someone.

Responsibility. It’s something he struggles with constantly. While he’s perfectly capable of being responsible on the job, taking personal responsibility for his own mistakes is extremely difficult for him. Watching others take on their flaws is both inspiring and intimidating. 

(There’s a difference between being responsible and being staid, and he’ll poke fun at the latter.)

Queen Anne’s Lace: If your character could pretend one thing, what would it be?

The ironic answer is ‘that he doesn’t have to pretend any more’. In some ways it’s true; he doesn’t. In some ways it isn’t; he’s still not good with sharing his real self.

Lara yawned, rubbing a hand across her eyes. It had been too early for a business meeting, but they had insisted. At least it was over now and now she could get a snack and some coffee before she got back on the train.

She looked around the cafe for a place to sit. There weren’t any single seats left, so...

She approached the young man’s table and smiled pleasantly. “Pardon me, do you mind if I sit here for a bit?”
