I need more of shuichi being apart of kokichi’s organization Dice, not necessarily as a full time member who actively goes on missions and stuff but as a part of their silly little family. I want Kokichi to introduce shuichi to dice and it going from “ Are you good enough for Kokichi “ to “ when are you coming back? Why can’t you stay longer!” And as Shuichi gets to know them better and vice versa he starts coming over more, even spending the night every week or so

And Kokichi is in the corner staring lovingly at the people he cares about most getting along and having fun, shuichi’s coming out of his shell more, Dice more than accepts his boyfriend as part of the family, and Kokichi can’t be happier 💜💙🎲

I CRAVE SHUICHI ANGST

But it’s a very specific angst I want

I want to see shuichi stand up to his GOD AWFUL parents

But not in the way u may think!

Uhhh trigger warning for suicide also LOTS OF HEADCANONS (this is my headcanon for shuichi in everything but ingame, so think of this like a non-despair au)

Ps. I wrote this at 2am last night so it might not be very coherent 😔

Shuichi grew up with his parents until he was 10 and it wasn’t great, he was forced into acting and being in commercials since he was super young and when at home he would be neglected or manipulated and mentally (sometimes physically) abused to do what his parents wanted, one day his mom snags an acting gig in America and his parents decide to leave him with his uncle and his wife (who I’ll be calling shuichi’s aunt from now on cuz she is and people forget she exists) for a few months

His aunt and uncle do everything in their power to make him comfortable while living with him, giving shuichi his own room, letting him pick out groceries for dinner and what movies they watch on movie night, but shuichi doesn’t seem happy. He plays with his food, and chooses a movie that his uncle had mentioned that morning, he’s indecisive on what to pick for dinner that night, and his room? Bland and boring, no toys or stuffed animals he brought with him, in fact the only thing he had brought were clothes, not the fun graphic tees either, plain black and white shirts that looked like they were bought only because he was at another person’s house and needed something to wear. His aunt and uncle were, confused to say the least considering his parents were FAR from poor and concerned for shuichi when the only thing he ever did was stare off into space unless given a task to do. Naturally the first thing they did was call one of his parents, his mom, to see if anything had happened recently that could’ve caused this weird behavior in this kid.

And not not only does she deny anything ever happening, she tells his aunt and uncle that shuichi needs to stay with them longer than planned. A few months turned into a few years as shuichi’s aunt and uncle try their best help adjust, but no matter what they do shuichi doesn’t feel like he deserves it, all the love and genuine care he’s been receiving feels too kind and too much, and he feels as if he’s not good enough for them.

He was around 12 when his parents came back to “get him” but when his uncle tried to talk to his sister about her possible actions, they fight, a fight shuichi hears every word of, how his parents only had him for the fame that would come from having a child, and hating the very thought of raising him words flying that nobody relized went straight to shuichis head, And in the end? His mom and dad storm out without him. Shuichi refused to let his aunt and uncle into his room for days afterwards, eventually attempting to take his life in the bathroom (the other details are for me since I might make a fic for this) of course it fails and he gets help, his aunt and uncle getting him therapy and comforting him in anyway they can

It’s really fucking late so I try and finish this up, he does the case that gets him his ultimate title around 14, which while it sets him back a bit regarding trauma he’s better than he was

Now! I don’t just want shuichi to stand up to his parents regarding himself but regarding the illegal shit they’ve done. See kokichi isn’t the only one who can have a FUCKED UP CHILDHOOD AND FAMILY!!! SO CAN SHUICHI!!!! I for some reason, LOVE the idea of the Saiharas (shuichi’s parents) cheating stealing and lying to gain fame, and hurting others to keep it, silencing people who dare tell authorities about the things they’ve done, I need Shuichi to instead of confronting them at home, confronting them in court where possible imprisonment(or death row depending on how I feel that day) is at play, I need to see the euphoric feeling Shuichi gets when he shows the judge the proof HE gathered and he wins, using old camera footage back from when he lived with them to prove just how far their willing to go for a DROP of extra fame.

I HAVE AN AU IDEA! Hang tight cuz this might be a long post!!! It’s basically where Kokichi, Shuichi, Maki, Kaede, and kaito are all magical “girls!” Pls ignore possible plot holes :,)

I forgot who it was but they made a drv3 au with the same characters but as precure! And I was like, ok that’s a really cool au idea! And then I saw the same person made a Madoka magica au too! And I’m I HUGE magical girl fan I love magical girl anime’s so of course after freaking out over them for like a week my brain kinda forgot about it…and then I started seeing drv3 band au’s…but it wasn’t until I watched Kpop demon hunters that I REMEMBERED IT AND THOUGHT! What if I throw Kaito, Kokichi, Shuichi, Maki, Kaede, AND DICE OF ALL CHARACTERS into a huge ahh magical girl melting pot!!!!!!!!!! PRECURE, MADOKA MAGICA, AND LOLIROCK WITH KPDH SPRINKLED ACROSS ITT!

Rare mention of lolirock but I had to, I loved it and was DEVASTATED when they removed it from Netflix

I still need to figure things out (like the names of the kingdoms, villain names etc.) but I think I can write the basic jist of it down!

Two boys from neighboring kingdoms, both filled with love and hope for their homes and dispair for the other’s, set to be married in order to end the current war between said kingdoms. They had only ever seen pictures of their betrothed, and the things they had heard about the other from civilians and other walks of royalty had them both dreading this day. The hall was decorated with white and golden sparkles, blue and purple painted the chairs as Kokichi stood an the end of the hall, smiling kindly, a thing doesn’t do often as he watches his princess walk down the hall, long blue hair flowing down “her” back. Shuichi hates it, how dysphoric it feels when his parents were finally accepting him for who he was, both as the future king, and as anything but a girl. “The Oma’s know, it’s just one day as sumiko, then you can be Shuichi all you want!” It was a lie, he and Kokichi knew that if shuichi’s parents never changed their ways, he’d be Sumiko to the people, forever and always.

Not a single word was said, not a single vow exchanged, just the priest joining them in god. Claping was all that could be heard as they kissed, a dead kiss, a kiss that signified nothing but hate for the other. Their first dance was filled with looks of dread for their future together and snarky comments from Oma (to which shuichi rolls his eyes) curtains drawn with painful looks from their parents. However all of this ends when a huge BANG is heard from outside the Saihara’s castle, they part almost instantly as both party’s start blaming each other INSTANTLY believing that the other went back on their agreement. That’s when a huge, black alien craft looking thing crashes into the ball room, showing what it looks like outside. It’s awful, homes destroyed, pillars smashed, blood pooling from outside the castle grounds. The only one who wasn’t screaming, crying, or running was a woman, with strawberry blond hair hiked up into two ponytails, black and white dress slightly clashing with the red accents across her outfit. She didn’t want the kingdom, she wanted to destroy it. And the kingdom’s hope with it. The Oma’s rush outside to find, that in the distance, their castle has already crumbled.

Meanwhile the Saihara’s made their way to the highest point of the castle, handing shuichi a box. “If worst comes to worst, and our kingdom falls, find the people you believe could radiate the most hope to bring it back” (or some other ominous shit) He was instructed to leave, leave with the box, that his parents would be okay, he didn’t believe them, but he ran, tossing the ridiculously tall high heels off of his feet he ran, it’s all he could do.

“ the craft holds only two people, and you have such a long life to live, find someone close to you, anyone, and take them with you.” Those were the last words Kokichi’s mother spoke to him, he had many people he cared about, how would he choose? He didn’t have to though, as he went to the place his and his friends hideout had once stood to see it destroyed drops of blood spilling out from under the wood onto the once green grass. He should be moving, finding someone else or getting in the craft and leaving, he would need to find another plant to- “GAH” just then, before he could start crying, he gets pushed to the ground by shuichi who, box still in hand, trips on debris. And in a moment of stress, Kokichi tells Shuichi to get in the craft with him, Shuichi does what he’s told, both are desperate, fear and desperation override hatred in a situation like theirs.

And basically shuichi and Kokichi find an old book in the craft once they land on earth (in a forest mind you) that tells them about what the gems (that were in the box shuichi had) were. And apparently, when their world is in danger, these gems are to find and select someone to become a magia, a person whose hope shines in a unique way compared to everyone else’s. Both put aside their hatred for each other and sat down to come up with a plan, what’s the one thing that they have in common, that despite their kingdom’s hatred brought the people from both kingdoms together? MUSIC!!!! (This was Kokichi’s idea)

So! They create a fake music competition and yada yada yada Kaede kaito and maki win and idk I stop there that’s all I got :|

Okay so it’s not ALL I got but this is the MOST I’ve thought of the backstory like…ever…I usually just throw on my headphones pick a song I wanna use for the plot and think of them fighting while singing…..or shuichi getting corrupted but we’ll get there when we get there….

You can have more food for this au tomorrow….maybe…soon though soooon!

I don’t know why this happens but about 60% of the time when I think of the “Shuichi drinks coffee” headcanon (that I too have) I think of the old Gacha videos of William Afton having a coffee addiction. It was such a random thing that we all just COLLECTIVELY agreed that he was addicted to coffee and toast. Speaking of toast I have a hard time imagining shuichi eating toast for some reason, Kokichi? Yes. Shuichi on the other hand? I don’t know if it would be the texture of it in his mouth or as he’s holding it, but I just don’t think he likes toast, he likes bread! Just not toast, even with something on it.

Kinda hurt to write cuz I love toast but if it’s for a headcanon of one of my favorite danganronpa boys? I’ll do it.

Thanksgiving bullshit

Some extended family just showed up at our house for thanksgiving and immediately began roasting my mom and never in my life had I been more okay with murder. These fuckers basically shame her to hell and back and dote on my dad for all of 10 minutes cause while they want to be seen as caring he’s still really sick and that’s makes them uncomfy. One of them almost had the nerve bringing her sick kid to my house where my father who literally can barely stand because of his illness and then proceeded to get very offended when my mom basically barred her from the door. I should also mention my mother called her multiple times telling no one from her house to come cause they might also have strep and if my dad accidentally caught it that could very much push him over the edge. Family is fucking bonkers. They preach how you gotta stick together and family comes first but when shit hits the fan and YOU need them they suddenly can’t make time but still expect you to do shit for them while your dealing with your tragedy. God bless my mother and all her strength for not ripping this woman’s head off and kicking the lot of them out even though I would have very much preferred it cause they really are all awful. Sorry this is a lot but this is partially why I’ve been gone so long. My dads really sick and he’s been sick since July and he’s gotten so bad some days I feel so panicked but I’m in another state for school so I can’t go to him so these small breaks are all I have. So I’m amazed at his family who is but an hours drive making all these excuses saying they can’t make it or one of them straight up saying seeing him makes them depressed while also preaching family needs to stick together and we’ll get through this as a family. It’s all bullshit. To them family is just us serving on them hand and foot and they when we ask them to do one thing (example we asked my aunt to drive my father to the hospital cause my mother had to work the day of his appointment my aunt AGREED and we later found out through my father that she just called him an Uber and let him go alone. Funny thing about Uber drivers, they can’t walk you into the car or hospital which made it entirely pointless!!!! So my dad almost missed his appointment but my mom had to leave work and drive him cause my aunt was too lazy to do what she agreed to) they have twisted and abused the meaning of family so inhumanly it makes me physically sick. Family is a two way street if you don’t like it stop acting like your a saint for doing jack shit. That’s my little rant for now but god knows what will happen while they’re here.
