Ok I have thoughts.

One of the main ways Sanj woos me is by making me coffees exactly the way I like them every morning, ready right when I wake up. He buys fancy matcha to keep on-hand for me and comes up with fun seasonal lattes to impress me with. And he knows not to make me decaf even if it’s nighttime—I still want that caffeine 🥰

He likes carrying me around places and most of the time I just let him.

His favorite place to kiss me besides the lips is the back of my hand. He’s as protective of my hands as he is of his own.

And we fuck for the first time in the wee hours of the morning on the couch in the galley after confessing our true feelings during a rainstorm. 😌

do you ever figure out why your crewman did it??

Ooo ok so. I think he just turned out to be not the person I thought he was. I thought we were in it for the adventure and to see the world and experience it all together. Turns out he was just trying to get rich and he thought I kept trying to explore and learn and linger in new places for too long and thought I was holding him back so he split. The only thing he left behind was a letter that implied basically that.

Karma’s a bitch because he basically remains a petty criminal with a smallish crew and doesn’t amount to much. And yes, Sanj does kick his teeth out. Since nobody really knows I’m a straw hat yet, I turn him in to the marines but as a fuck you I don’t accept the bounty. It’s too pitifully small anyway (ok maybe I should have taken the money but it makes too good of a send off). Nami is dismayed by this. Luffy thinks I am a certified badass.

You know what I just realized? I think I never asked you about your op-persona 🌚 do you have a self-insert/ oc & do you wanna talk more about it? 🌚

Hi nana, ily, thank you for your patience as I collected my thoughts on this. I have sort of a working self-insert/self-ship story for the one piece universe, and though a lot of the details are very much a shadow of the mental state I was in at the time I do still like it.

SO. In this world I become a straw hat (I simply must) post-timeskip between punk hazard and Dressrosa. The Sunny makes a stop on the island where I’m living for supplies and probably deposes a corrupt king while they’re at it 😆

My story is I was once in a 2-person pirate crew with my ex-man until he just took our ship and everything we had and left in the middle of the night. I was stranded on that island because I couldn’t afford my own ship or assemble a crew to leave with anyway. So I had to sort of cobble together a life from nothing.

My role on the crew is the historian—basically I want to write down all of the crew’s adventures for posterity and for future generations to know the true story of Loof becoming king of the pirates of course (you can’t always trust what those newspapers say!). Robin, chopper, brook, and I have a book club. Usopp, Nami, and I hang out at night to study constellations together. But I also help out in the kitchen here or there, certainly for no curly brow related reasons 👀

Suffice it to say when Sanj finds out about my sad story and abandonment issues, he has absolutely no chill and promises if we ever come across that dude he’ll flay him alive 😆
