They are about 5-6 week olds and have upper respiratory issues and infected eyes. 😭 We are thankful that we found a foster for these little babies and that we were able to save them! We name each kitten: Winterberry (blue collar), Evergreen (yellow collar), and Snowdrop (green collar). Each one is named after plants 🌱 that thrive in the winter because we know with the proper care, medication and love, each one will be thriving in due time! Reposted from @catbycatbycat Repost from @straycatalliance • As a recap, one of our volunteers found Floyd terribly injured!! 😭 Someone had attached explosive fireworks to poor Floyd’s tail!! 😭 He had a severe tail injury, a laceration on his foot, and eye injuries! 😭 We rushed Floyd to our vet for emergency medical care where he got his little tail amputated - the doctor was able to save about 3 inches of his tail (you will see this in the video). 3 out of 4 of his little paws have been cleaned and wrapped due to burns and lacerations. Floyd has an appointment to see an eye specialist at the end of this month where they will be examining if cryotherapy is the right treatment for the agenesis that he suffers from. The doctor will also assess and treat any injuries related to the firework incident. Until then, he is on antibiotics and pain medication and is improving everyday! Floyd is incredibly SWEET (you can see his AMAZING personality in the video!!!), even after this very scary 💔 experience for him! Floyd is back with us, so we can monitor him for a few days before he goes to his wonderful new foster home! Stay tuned for updates of Floyd in the 💜 home! Do you have the medical experience and love to give Lorenzo? Lorenzo is FIV+ and FeLV+. While many “double positive” cats live for years, it has hit our boy hard and he is battling anemia and congestion. Since we pulled him from the shelter, we have been doing everything possible for him, but we do not have anyone to provide the constant love and care he needs, and it is breaking our hearts! With love and patience, Lorenzo could even have more time. We do not know what is ahead, except he needs to be OUT of a cage! THE CARE HE NEEDS - we will provide supplies: 1) Temperature taken twice a day rectally 2) Sub-Q fluids daily 3) Various supplements given daily 4) Nebulization twice a day 5) Two medications given sub-q by injection weekly 6) Bring to our clinic in South LA weekly for PCV check PLEASE 🙏 open up your home and heart ❤️ for Lorenzo, so he has a special place to rest during his remaining days.
