Please think the characterisation and background of Tala through because psychopathy and APD are not the same things.

you’re right, i shouldn’t have described her as a psychopath because she isn’t a psychopath in an actual sense. (she will be referred to as such by some of the characters but that’s due to their own perception of her and the common mix up of those terms). she’s got ASPD and she will be incorrectly diagnosed with psychopathy but she doesn’t actually have it. sorry for the confusion and thanks for correcting me

What is she afraid of?

IT’S LIKE YOURE IN MY HEAD because as I was walking home today I was thinking this exact thing and I actually want to have this answered in the book. at the beginning she’s not truly afraid of anything: she doesn’t care if she gets caught, she doesn’t care if she dies or lives, typical stuff like that. but then she meets this girl who somehow becomes /everything/ (but slowly cause plot and character development, they’ll start out as tentative partners) and the main antagonist of the book will use his powers? a device? haven’t decided yet but anyway he will use smth to find out her fears and she will hallucinate that girl’s death by her hand and it’ll have her so shook cause she thought she wasn’t afraid of anything (that’ll also be the trigger for her realization that perhaps she needs help). so basically she's afraid of losing the girl and she's also afraid of herself and of what she's capable of

OK when you say psychopath, what exactly do you mean?

im gonna assume this is in regards to tala

i mean actual diagnosed psychopath, she’s got antisocial personality disorder

What is her more prominent childhood memory?

oh great question. one of her earliest and more prominent memories is staring at her hands. she was about two and that’s the first memory she has. she used to lay in her cradle and look at her hands, studying them, only beginning to realize she exists and is a part of something. she’s not sure if she actually did think this or if it’s just something her mind made up later on, but when she did that, she imagined the universe and stars and previous lives. when she kills, she sometimes stares at her hands, clenching and unclenching fists just like she used to when she was a child.

Why Tala?

okay so she was named after the love of her adoptive father’s life who died under mysterious circumstances. the name is of native american descent and it means “stalking wolf” (and I have a wolf obsession). idk the name suits her i think
