Another piece for the Streamer!Cloud AU created by @chaoscheebs and built upon by a lot of people, this one was based on some discord fun around Cloud being an avid animal fan and my own experience with the boss fight in question.
Hope you enjoy!
“Introduce yourself,” Sephiroth ordered him, gathering his hair into a ponytail as he spoke.
“Rude,” Cloud huffed, rolling his eyes at the taller man before focusing on the rolling chat in front of him. “Too lazy to introduce me to your own audience, next you’ll be using me to entertain them.”
“You are here to entertain them,” Sephiroth responded calmly, brushing a few stray strands of silver hair away from his face. “I’m here to look pretty, you should know that.”
“You’re awful,” Cloud snorted, a fond, amused smile brightening his features as he spoke. He turned his attention to the webcam Sephiroth used and greeted the other’s audience cheerfully, “Hi guys, I’m Cloud, aka The Nibel Wolf, and Seph’s invited me to join you guys while he plays the Dark Souls.”
“Don’t forget to plug yourself,” Sephiroth reminded him, picking up the controller and continuing past the menu’s peaceful music. The screen changed to a character selection screen filled with profiles at different levels of game time, Cloud guessed that the 120-hour profile was a finished one but you really couldn’t tell with most RPGs.
“You can find my stream of which has Mr Eye-Candy here as a guest every second Wednesday for stupid or scary games and Saturday nights’ where we get together with two other friends to fail at fighting games. Come join me if you want.”
“You sound so enthused,” Sephiroth noted, loading up one of his characters in front of a bonfire in a stone room. “We’re heading into the Darkroot Garden today for the ring we need, then into the Abyss for the rest of the stream.”
“… That sounds ominous,” Cloud pointed out, turning his attention back to the chat as it scrolled up, noting the familiar names from his own streams. “We’re gonna be in for a great time, aren’t we?”
“It will be fun,” Sephiroth promised, sprinting past a giant, faceless monster with a catchpole in the middle of an empty stone room. The game opened to a beautiful area, under a night sky and full of lush, green forestry.
This game certainly was pretty, if nothing else.
He turned his attention back to the chat just in time to catch something that worried him just the slightest bit, “why is Chetchi telling me that I’m going to rage at you in a few minutes? What do they know?”
“That you’re definitely going to rage in a few minutes,” Sephiroth said, focused on not dying to the weird, tree-men that had emerged from the ground to ambush him. They couldn’t seem to do much to Sephiroth’s character though, as he had a large shield in his hand and was using a long spear to poke at them from behind it.
“I don’t like the way you say that,” Cloud said, narrowing his gaze at the man next to him before turning back to the chat and answering the questions Sephiroth’s chat shot at him as the other continued to make his way through the area.
“That’s a nice door,” Cloud commented a few minutes later when the character came to a stop in front of a pair of giant, ornate stone door. “There’s a boss behind there, isn’t there?”
“Yes,” Sephiroth answered, setting down his controller to take a drink from a glass of water. “One of the best in the series.”
“Is it hard?”
“No more than the Executioner and the Dragonslayer.”
“Well,” Cloud said, leaning back in his seat. “They sound like fun.”
“They’re the ones I showed you last week.”
“Oh, them!” He said, remembering the clips Sephiroth had sent to him. “The giant golden man with the lightning spear!”
“I have his spear now,” Sephiroth stated proudly, picking up his controller and stabbing said spear into the door in front of him. “It’s very effective.”
“Cool,” the chat was racing, eagerly awaiting his reaction to whatever the boss was. “You ready for this?”
Sephiroth rolled his shoulder and spun his character in place before opening the large doors, “I’m ready for you to get up and leave.”
Cloud ignored Sephiroth’s comment, focusing on the boss fight room that was revealed to them. It was a large open area with numerous swords buried in the ground around it, in the middle of the area was a large, stone slab behind a huge sword nearly as tall as it was. It was a very impressive area.
“This looks nice,” Cloud noted as Sephiroth strode into the room, moving steadily towards the giant sword. “So, where’s the boss?”
His question was answered by the cut scene that started playing a few paces from the large sword, he completely froze when the boss appeared on the screen and knocked back Sephiroth’s character before picking up the giant sword and starting the boss fight.
“That’s a dog.” He said blankly, starting at the beautiful grey coat of the canine on the screen. “You’re fighting a dog.”
“A wolf, but yes.” Sephiroth responded, expertly dodging the wolf’s sword swings. “Sif’s a very good boss fight.”
“I want to punch you so much right now.” Cloud stated, dragging his attention from the boss fight to the scrolling chat. “And you Chetchi, how could you betray me by not warning me about this?”
Sephiroth may have been laughing at him between stabbing the giant wolf on the screen, but Cloud was more focused on the response he got from Chetchi.
“No, that would not be cute! That’d be awful!”
Sephiroth was definitely laughing at him now, as was his chat now.
“Don’t send it to Gen! He won’t let me live it down!”
“You should turn away now,” Sephiroth warned him, rolling through Sif’s sweeping, glowing sword swing. “Before you decide to retract our friendship.”
“Wait, what?” Cloud said, turning back to the screen to see that Sif’s health bar was close to the final fourth of its bar. “What’s going to happen?”
“This,” Sephiroth said, stabbing the boss once again and forcing the health bar to one-hit of health. The boss’ reaction was instantaneous, starting to limp towards Sephiroth’s character and making weak attacks that made it obvious that Sif was using all they’re power just to get the sword off the ground and a few inches past it’s starting position before dragging it back to its starting place.
It was one of the most heart-wrenching series of animations Cloud had ever seen in a game and the chat seemed to believe so as well.
“I’m replacing you with one of your brothers,” he informed Sephiroth, voice quiet and deadly serious.
“You’re not going to replace me with one of my brothers, are you?”
“The pretty one. Tell him to show up on Wednesday an hour before the stream starts.”
Strifesodos and 9. An Awkward Kiss sound like it'd be a fun combo.
Sweet, Affectionate Moments Meme
This isn’t reallly an Awkward Kiss but this is what happened? This silly, fluffy thing from the Streamer!Cloud AU? Cloud refuses to be awkward for me? little shit
“I think I should get something for winning,” Genesis said, winningsmile on his face as he set the controller down triumphantly. “And for beatingeveryone here so spectacularly.” He turnedto Cloud expectantly, delighting in how the smaller man blushed bright red andturned away from him.
“I’m not kissing you because you won a game,” Cloud mumbled, the accompanying shake of his head the only thing that showed his negativeresponse to their audience. “Especially not in front of everyone.”
Genesis shrugged easily, not wanting to push the other’sboundaries so soon into their relationship. “I’ll accept my reward afterwards,”he said, bumping his shoulder against Cloud’s. “I’ll keep a tally of how many Iearn.”
Cloud snorted but lifted turned his face back towards him, blush dying down a bit. “One’s not much of a tally.”
“We’ll see,” Genesis responded brightly, picking up hiscontroller once again and exiting from the replay of his victory.
It was just some silly little fighting game Cloud had found, with atrocious hit boxes and hideous character designs. Needless to say, it wasa perfect game for Cloud’s stream and they were certainly enjoying themselvestrying to figure out the counter-intuitive controls.
“Hey,” Cloud said a few moments into their next round.
Genesis turned his face towards the other a bit, keeping hisgaze fixed on the two characters ‘fighting’ on the screen, only to freeze incomplete and total shock at the feeling of soft lips pressing against hischeek.
He turned to stare at Cloud once he’d removed the lightpressure, blinking in shock at the other’s boldness in front of his viewers.
He was clued into Cloud’s dastardly plans mere seconds laterwhen ‘Opponent Defeated!’ was spoken by the fight referee on the game still playing.
“I told you that one’s isn’t much of a tally.” Cloud said, turning to fix him with a mischievous smile.
“You, Mr Nibel Wolf, have yourself an enemy.” Genesis replied, determined to crush Cloud in this silly little game. “Prepare yourself for theend.”
Cloud was laughing next to him, but he wasn’t going to focuson the other, no the other was going to be beaten, there was no doubt about it.
Just a little snippet about Vincent in @chaoscheebs Gamer!Cloud AU. The idea of him just hanging out in Cloud’s streams without interacting at all, aside from a cryptic comment or banning a spammer out of nowhere, amuses me.
When Cloud asks him to help him with something, Vincent agreed immediately, trusting his friend not to lead him astray. He was confused when Cloud sent him the link to something via his phone, clicking onto it with some trepidation.
He breathed a soft sigh of relief when it took him to a sight that showed Cloud on a couch in the middle of the screen, fiddling with a small device at his collar.
“You can type in the chat and I'll see it,” Cloud said suddenly, voice clearer than it had been on the phone a few moments previous. “Tell me how things look, alright?”
Vincent blinked at the screen of his phone for a moment before opening the chat feature Cloud must have been talking about, staring at it for another quiet moment before typing something in. ‘You appear to be coming through clearly.’
“Good,” Cloud said after a moment of quiet, reading Vincent’s words before responding to them. “As long as I’m not fuzzy or out-of-focus, we should be good.”
‘I can see you without issue.’ Vincent typed, watching as a large grin spread across his friend’s features at his response. He always enjoyed seeing his friend happy, the younger had been through far too much in his life, he deserved everything good thing that came his way after everything. ‘I can also hear everything you are saying.’
“That’s great!” Cloud said with a soft, relieved sigh, slumping a bit where he sat on the couch. “The setup’s a bit of a mess at the moment but I’ll sort it out once I’m sure I’ve got everything right.” What was being displayed on his screen changed suddenly, the box showing Cloud shrunk and moved to the bottom of the screen and a larger black box took up the rest of the space above his friend’s form. Words appeared on the black screen with a distinctive noise, Vincent assumed that meant that something was starting up, confirmed a moment later when a safety warning appeared on the black screen before being replaced by a title page displaying two cartoony dragons and a multitude of bubbles.
The theme music was bright, cheerful and uplifting. Vincent liked it.
‘I can see the new screen.’ He informed Cloud, watching as the other nodded in response, shifting to a more comfortable position in his chair.
The next half hour passed in a similar manner; Cloud would attempt something and Vincent would inform him if he’d been successful or not, repeating a few moments later when Cloud either attempted to fix the issue or moved onto a new topic. It was a surprisingly decent way to spend the afternoon, helping Cloud with his testings, he informed Cloud that he would be happy to help again in the future before the screen went dark and a line of text informed him that Cloud was offline.
He closed his PHS and turned his attention back to what he’d been doing before Cloud texted him; namely cleaning his guns. What an exciting life he lead, now that no one was trying to destroy the world.
He clicked on the link Cloud sent him by accident a few weeks later. He expected it to lead him to the dark screen he’d left off when he’d helped Cloud the first time, not to be brought to a screen showing Cloud playing a game and talking to the chat slowly scrolling up the side of the screen. Vincent blinked at the other people speaking over the chat before closing it, connecting the earbuds Marlene had forced him to buy along with his PHS and relaxed where he was sitting out in the sun for once, listening to his friend talk about whatever he was doing.
It was nice to have someone to listen to for a few hours without having to worry about carrying a conversation, he might have to do this more in the future.
@chaoscheebs gave me “I really like a man who’s good with his hands,” for Strifesodos and I immediately went to Streamer Friends Dynamics and it’s not NSFW in the slightest. Just fun cracky nonsense in this one! To help balance out the last one.
Tip Jar
“Chetchi says you’re terrible.”
“Chetchi doesn’t know what he’s talking about.”
“Malborowaifu doesn’t think you’ll do it either.”
“Why don’t you ever read out the nice comments,” Cloud complained, gaze focused on the screen in front of him. He flicked his gaze to Genesis’ form, registering the other man’s teasing smile before returning his attention to the game.”Boost my confidence, or something like that.”
“They’re so hard to find though,” Genesis whined, burrowing further into his warm jacket and focusing on the chat he had opened in front of him. “Everyone’s complaining that you’re butchering their favourite songs.”
“I’m not butchering them!” Cloud said, amusement colouring his tone as he selected the next piece of music for the night. “I’m barely missing the notes!”
“Whatever helps you get through the day,” Genesis responded, leaning back against the couch. He brought up the poll for the next song selection and groaned when he saw what the next few songs would be. “They’re going through my music library again,” he whined, gazing at the titles of four songs by one of his favourite bands.
“I’ll make sure to butcher those,” Cloud promised, flexing his hand around his controller as he started the song. “Find something nice to say while I do this.”
“Alright,” Genesis said, switching back to the chat and reading what the comments that crawled across his screen. It was just a small stream tonight, late and easy-going for the subscribers, usually the second Friday night of the month was reserved for the four of them a fighting game of some kind but both Aerith and Sephiroth were own of town and they’d decided to just relax with a rhythm game.
They’d started with a few songs that Cloud liked before opening up to viewer requests, when things got fun. They’d sent in the most amusing requests; troll songs, opening themes, actual requests and he even thought he’d recognized the Chocobo Warriors theme song amongst the pieces Cloud had already played through, then they’d starting sending in some of his and Cloud’s favourite artists. Watching Cloud become frustrated over his inability to play his favourite pieces of music was amusing to say the least.
With Cloud’s request for him to find something nice to say to him, the chat was flooded with questions, queries and encouragement. He snorted at a few of the more amusing messages from Cloud’s more amusing subscribers, shifting to a comfortable position as he responded to the ones that had caught his eyes.
“Aerith and Seph are away, Drago,” Genesis answered one of the questions in the chat, skimming the crawling words for compliments to give Cloud once he was done with his current track. “They’re searching for replacements.”
“They won’t have to work hard for that,” Cloud muttered, pulling a laugh from Genesis’ throat. The chat erupted with amused responses to the man’s words and a few people that didn’t quite grasp their particular brand of humour needing to have the joke explained to them.
The track finished in the next minute, showing off Cloud’s score and his overall ranking. It was a decent score, much better than the scores he had gotten little more than an hour before, Cloud was definitely getting better as he went. The chat had noticed as well, if the flood of congratulatory messages was any indication.
Cloud set down his controller on the table in front of him, reaching out towards where Genesis was sitting. “Come here,” Cloud urged, patting the space next to him before holding his hand to him again. “I wanna see the trash they’re saying about me.”
Genesis snorted but grasped Cloud’s hand and allowed him to tug him from his comfy seat and next to him, burrowing into his side to soak up as much of the other’s warmth as he could. He handed the man the device he had been reading the chat on, leaving him to interact with the viewers as he got himself comfortable again.
“Shut up guys,” Cloud grumbled, rolling his eyes at the camera for the audience. “We’re not being ‘sweetly domestic’, Gen’s just being a heat sponge again.”
“I’m stealing that term for later,” he informed the other man, stretching his legs out along the couch until he was tucked against Cloud’s side. “It’s perfect for us.”
“Don’t encourage them,” Cloud said, words coloured with an exaggerated sigh. His hand lifted from where it had been resting and started to run through his hair with absent-minded movements, pulling a pleased noise from Genesis’ noise as he relaxed against him completely. “Chetchi’s threatening us with fanart, again.”
“I love Chetchi’s art,” Genesis said, teasing smile in place as he looked up at Cloud. “The one they did of you and Seph as Air Pirates is the most adorable thing ever.”
Cloud flushed slightly but ignored him, focusing on interacting with the chat for a bit. “Thank you for the compliments Gravedigger,” he said, eyes moving over the chat quickly. “And thank you, Breezy, for the grievous insult to my skills.”
Genesis smiled, content to listen to Cloud talk to the chat as he remained pressed to his side and enjoyed his warmth and the relaxed feeling of the stream. It wasn’t that uncommon for them to end up curled up together during the streams, despite how flustered Cloud always got, and the viewers were well aware of that fact; Chetchi’s wouldn’t be the first piece of them curled up together, nor did he think it would be the last. A lot of them were incredibly cute and he loved embarrassing Cloud with them.
He focused back on Cloud when a particular comment caught his attention, turning towards him and speaking without a second thought.
“- not just dating me for my looks, Ravencloak! There’s other reasons!
“I really like a man who’s good with his hands.”
Cloud paused, looking down at him with flushed cheeks and an expression that told him how foolish he was being. He blinked after a few moments, turning away from him as he responded. “I’m glad you said ‘man’ instead of ‘person’ there.”
“Oh?”
“Yup,” Cloud answered, gaze purposely trained on the chat. “If you had said ‘person’ then you’d probably dump me for Aerith at least once every month.”
Genesis opened his mouth to say something in response but froze, considering what Cloud had said. “Point,” he said, reaching out and taking his device back from Cloud. “The things that woman can do with her hands are positively sinful.”
He felt no qualms in labelling Aerith that way; she was a champion at fighters and ensured that they remembered it. During one of their previous streams together he’d turned the video onto her hands so the viewers could see the exact precision and speed of her hands during the matches; to say it was impressive was putting it lightly. It was one of their highest viewed clips, aside from the one where Seph and Cloud got jumpscared by a RPG-maker game.
“Yup,” Cloud agreed with a soft laugh, reaching out and picking his controller up again. “Now, which of your favourite songs am I destroying first?”
I’m tired but I like this prompt. So, I’mma write it. Streamer!Cloud still comes from @chaoscheebs I’m only borrowing it.
Cloud glared at the screen in front of him, doing his best to focus on the area around his character. He had been grinding the past hour and had been about to call it for a bit to go lie down and take a nap before the stream later tonight; they were going to kill the boss tonight.
He’d dedicated a whole hour each night to trying to kill the boss for the past three streams but he was sure that tonight was going to be different. There was nothing else to do until he beat this boss actually, it was a story boss keeping him from the next part of the game.
He had been grinding for some of the resources he needed, health and ammo items mostly, when the notice for an invader appeared on his screen. It had locked him into the area he was in, waiting for the invader to come find him so they could fight each other.
Cloud didn’t doubt that he would loss to the other player; he was tired, low on resources and completely ill-equipped to deal with another player. He just had to wait for the other to find him in the map.
He rubbed at his face tiredly, barely suppressing a yawn as he waited for the invader to approach him. He lilted forward slightly but caught himself with a shake, setting himself back in his previous position on the couch and returning his attention to the game.
He managed to shake himself awake twice more before he fell into unconsciousness, dropping his head onto the back of the couch and loosening his grip on his controller.
Genesis’ gaze immediately went to the lit screen when he entered the room, turning to Cloud once he registered that the screen was displaying that game the other had been playing for his streams the past few days.
His gaze softened immediately softened when he saw that the younger man was asleep. He approached the other quietly, quickly retrieving the controller from the other’s lax hands before it fell to the ground.
He had been about to put the console into Rest Mode and coax Cloud into a more comfortable position, when he noticed movement on the edge of the screen. He froze for a moment, blinking at the screen as he waited to see if the movement would appear again or if he had merely been seeing things.
The movement occurred again and Genesis saw that it was actually a character moving across the screen, a bit of a way from where Cloud’s character was situated. He blinked at the screen before turning to fix Cloud’s sleeping form with a considering look, he shrugged silently to himself and sat himself next to Cloud, testing out the controls for the game.
He could probably figure out how this game worked long enough for Cloud to get some rest.
Cloud jerked awake suddenly as the obvious sound of a successful visceral attack came through his speakers.
He bolted upright, gaze immediately focusing on the screen in front of him, expecting to see an invader standing over his character’s corpse. Instead there was his character, standing triumphantly over the invader’s form as the message that the adversary had died showed on the screen.
He stared at the screen for a few moments, unable to comprehend when he was seeing.
“I’m sorry, Cloud. Didn’t mean to wake you.” The words, spoken from next to him, sounded genuinely regretful. He turned his attention away from the screen, taking in the fact that Genesis was sitting next to him for the first time.
“How did you do that?” He asked, voice heavy from lingering sleep.
“I shot they while they were starting to do a thing, then the character put his fist into their stomach.” Genesis answered with a shrug, moving the stick to cause the character to spin in circles. “Then when they were getting up I charged the other attack and something similar happened when they turned away from me.”
Cloud stared at his partner for a moment, blinking slowly as he realized what the other was saying. “You managed to kill the invader using visceral attacks, on accident?”
“I believe so,” Genesis answered, halting the character’s movements on screen. Turning to focus on Cloud as he questioned him. “You want to turn this off and go get some sleep somewhere more comfortable?”
Cloud blinked slowly once again, stunned by what Genesis had admitted to him. “Yeah,” he answered in a distracted tone. “I’m going to go lie down before the stream.”
Genesis hummed in acknowledgement, quickly closing the game before turning off the console. Genesis stood from the couch, stretching his arms over his head before leaving the room. “Alright then, enjoy your catnap.”
Cloud nodded before standing from the couch himself, he’d have to get Genesis to talk about his little experience with the invader on the stream tonight. It’d certainly be more entertaining then watching him fail to kill the bullshit spider over and over again.
Strifesodos prompt fic using this prompt here. Borrowed Streamer!Cloud from @chaoscheebs.
Ko-Fi
“Quick! Go to plan B!”
“That was plan B!”
“Alright, then… Plan B EX!”
“Plan B EX was set on fire!”
“Do we have a single plan we haven’t used that isn’t on fire?”
“Yeah, plan SS, better known as Start Screaming!”
“This game hates you,” Genesis stated from the armchair next to the couch, gaze flicking between the screen and Cloud’s face.
Cloud didn’t respond to him, focusing intently on the game. Genesis could hear some of the other people he was playing with over the headset as they all scramble to figure out a way to deal with the large enemy that has just appeared on screen.
“Of course it’d have to be a bloody Wyvern while the experienced guys are out.” He heard Cloud mutter as he scrolled through every weapon he currently had available to him.
He turned his gaze back to the stream on his tablet, reading the rapidly moving chat. Many of them were wishing Cloud a happy death while a few others were laughing, fewer still were offering advice about what to do about the Wyvern.
“The chat says you’re doomed,” he informed Cloud, returning his gaze to the blond.
He was lucky enough to witness the Wyvern turn it’s attention to another part of their base, taking out one of the bastions that were positioned there. He thought that that was the fourth bastion the creature had destroyed since appearing on the screen less than two minutes ago.
“Goddamn, wanna-be-dragon!” Cloud yelled, glaring at the Wyvern from where his character was sheltered. He heard a few profanities from the other players as the Wyvern tore through their base’s defences.
“I assume you can’t call back your other friends?” He asked, not really expecting an answer from Cloud. The chat was still being flooded by tombstones and little salt emojis so he knew he wasn’t going to get much help from there.
Cloud heaved a heavy sigh, glancing at Genesis as he replied. “The Wyvern took out our communication tower when it first arrived, we’ve sent someone to escape the base and try to contact them from the transmission tower a few miles away.”
Genesis blinked, stunned for a moment, when had Cloud arranged all that?
Cloud’s attention turned back to the screen as the Wyvern released a loud roar, scorching the ground below it with poorly rendered flames. He really didn’t understand the appeal of these types of games; he’d much rather be curled up with a good Visual Novel then something like this.
But it was the annual monthly subscriber stream, where Cloud played a few hours with some of his subscribers on their server. He had missed the last few streams due to being away from the city but from what Cloud had told him, each one was a hit.
If the other’s had been anything like this, he could see why they had been a hit. It was amusing to see Cloud get so angry at the Wyvern that had shown up out of nowhere.
He settled back into his seat, one eye on the chat and the other on Cloud as the game continued. This was turning out to be a very good stream.
For the streaming friends headcanons, imagine gen liking some fighting game wich is very weeb-like, and cloud going "Is this goku?" at every strong built character.
Genesis loves all the weeb games and would definitely bring some of his favourites for them all to stream together. Cloud knows better than to get any characters names wrong and usually just asks Genesis about who the guy is before he chooses them. Aerith and Sephiroth on the other hand, they love to tease Genesis about the characters. They get the names wrong on purpose sometimes just to get him worked up, the chat loves it when they aren’t raging along side him.
‘So, this is Goku, right?’‘No! This has to be Naruto!’‘Aerith, Sephiroth, I swear to the Goddess! They’re not even part of this franchise! Stop encouraging them Cloud!’
Some streaming friends dynamics to go with @chaoscheebs streamer gamer nerd Cloud + bros. Just some fun little headcannons floating around in my head.
Cloud: Will play anything, absolutely anything. Especially the bright colourful things, he loves those. He streams a lot of glitchy/buggy games and a lot of those streams end up with him screaming at the screen and rage-quitting the game. He streams with Seph, Aerith or Genesis when he can because he loves sharing things he loves with the people he loves. Brings Marlene and Denzel on as often as he can for all those bright, cheery kid games. Has really good luck with RNG but gets lost on every single map. Seriously, he got lost in one of the most linear games imaginable. Drives the chat crazy sometimes. Hates spoopy games with a passion, will not stream them with Seph or Aerith because they’re awful and like to scare him will he plays them, Gen huddles with him under the blanket for ‘moral support’. Often forgets how words and sentences work.
Aerith: Holy shit she will fight you and she will win. Seriously the absolute best at fighting games, schools everyone when they play them. Even if it’s something she hasn’t touched before she will whoop everyone’s arse. Cloud absolutely sucks at fighting games so she loves to lord it over him. Chat loves it whenever she’s on because it means some shade will be thrown down. Loves to drag Cloud out to fighting game conventions with her and forcing him to interact with other people. Tries to get Cloud to play things that he probably shouldn’t then compromises on something worst; usually spoopy games.
Genesis: Gets way too invested in everything he plays, JRPGs, Visual Novels, everything. Has written fan-essays about his favourite characters in his favourite games. Responsible for all the ‘weeb’ games Cloud streams and is on often to gush about his favourite characters and yell at Cloud when he does something awful. ‘Holy shit Cloud! What are you doing?! You’re going to get us the bad end!!’
Seph: Loves messing with Cloud, in anyway possible. Changes character outfits while he’s not looking, getting him purposely lost, not telling him when he’s walking past an important story item, the works. Gets Cloud to play things that’ll make him scream; action rpgs, real-time-strategy and the glitchiest of the glitchy games. Convinced Cloud to play the Dark Souls games and has not regretted it since.
They’ve probably streamed them all playing Uno and it ended in Cloud crash-talking Sephiroth to the floor after getting ‘Draw 2′ about 7 times in a row.
Example of streaming fun-times:
Genesis: -gushing over character arcs and development with the chat-
Cloud: Why are we playing this? I hate fighting games...
Aerith: Don’t look at me like that! It was Genesis's idea~
Sephiroth: There better not be customisation in this or we’ll be here for hours.
Cloud: It wouldn’t be hours if you would stop messing with my choices!
Sephiroth: There is nothing wrong with colour Cloud, blue cannot hurt you.
Cloud: If you change things when I get up I’m going to strangle you.
Aerith: No you won’t, you’ll be too busy yelling at your character to move.
Cloud: Why are all the commands so weird?!
Aerith + Sephiroth: For fun.
Genesis: ... and that is why Kanji is best waifu.
-Aerith, Sephiroth + Cloud all stare at him.-
Genesis: ... What?
