This map of the British Empire Exhibition at Wembley, London, in 1924 shows "its situation described in relation to the railways of London", with plans of the best rail lines to take to reach the exhibition. The layout of the pavilions of various contributing countries is shown, with two large stadiums also devoted to Engineering and Industry. Some New Zealanders who attended the exhibition in 1924 were critical of the way the New Zealand pavilion looked in comparison with those of Australia and Canada, which had had larger budgets. And in the following year, a popular opinion was that Dunedin's New Zealand and South Seas Exhibition 1925-26 had topped the Wembley effort.
