Here is my review of these 4 pitch stop mount upgrades for your Subaru. (All made from the same aluminum but with different bushing setups.) This should be seriously in your top 5 first mods to do yourself for under $150. Easy 20-30 min job with minimal tools/experience to get it done.
Top: Agency Power $120, for track or daily
No bushing at the transmission and a stiff bushing at the firewall. Increased noise and vibration is not unbearable. The lightest of the 4 here and what I am currently running in the 98 LGT.
Next: StreetRays $52, track use only
A solid mount with NO bushings. I don't recommend this for daily driving. The increased NVH is severe but your shifts are smoother than the others.
Bottom: Perrin $100 or Streetrays $40, daily
Both of these are very similar, the main difference is the bushings are different durometers. Perrin's works great with very little increased NVH to the cabin. The StreetRays version I actually like better out of the 2 and is literally half the price. It is a little louder at start up due to the stiffer bushing at the firewall, but it feels more responsive overall. I used the Perrin for 50,000+mi on the 98 LGT with no issues and now going on 30,000+mi with the StreetRays on the 04 Outback also with no problems.
So bottom line is how much do you want to spend, what are your build plans and how much more NVH you and your car can handle. There are several other companies making these like Beatrush, Kartboy, Torque Solutions and Whiteline but these 4 I have personally installed/experienced.
